200 HZ is not important for gaming. What matters is the delay that the TV adds to calculate stuff. I'm NOT talking about pixel response time.... but about "input lag" and comes before pixel responce time and is added delay. this tv does it all under 5 ms :D, you have to turn off 200 Motion flow to get it :D
this is the best LCD TV for gaming.. i have one and i recommend it to all gamers... search inputlag on internet and "hdtv test" and you understand why.
Does 200hz for gaming really make a big difference? I am thinking of getting one for PS3 as i notice some screen judder whilst gaming when i look around with the camera fast. Also is there much of a difference between 100hz & 200hz?
@SAMTHEMANTHATCAN u can play at 60-75z and still kick.. ass.. its all about the refresh rate of the monitor.. 5ms+ sucks.. since it causes blur under quick actions.. Most gamers uses 2ms or lower monitors..
I'll take a stab at answering that. ANYONE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG. Here it goes. While Frame 1 is shown, Frame 2 is 'buffered". Then using Frame1 and 2 to create Frame1/2(between 1 and 2) It happens so fast that we don't notice it by eye.
not for gamers! and not all in all! there are waaayyy better but MUCH more expensive lcds from philips and so on! but your right in its price class it IS the BEST!
I've found Motionflow to work best with 3D animated films, it practically makes everything look like you're wearing 3D glasses like Ratatouille and Wall-E, etc. With real shows I can't really tell that much of a difference.
the 600hz plasma technology is a sub field drive technology, which works from 60 hz technology over in the states. The tv displays the same image on screen 10 times in stages of different brightness' ( one light grey, slightly darker grey....... very dark image) this is how the Tv's can clain they are "600hz" but the technology doesnt improve the motion! whereas the 200HZ Bravia puts 3 additional frames of movement with standard tv,and 7 additional frames from 24p (25 frames if from a dvd) films
did u guys heard what the lady said samsung will bring a 240hz in 2011, but i dont get it how come u can find cheap plasma tv for like £700 with 600hz when this thing is over the money
im going to buy the 52 only for gaming too i have a xbox 360 thinking of buying a ps3 so i can watch blu ray movies.. yeah it would be great if u could post a video .. possible to send me a message when its avaiable?
i allway,s tout remastering, inproving technology has reach the end but no,just like computers, there will be allway,s something new invented, like 200hz wich NOT simply doubles existing frames but it creates new frames by following the directions of moving pixels.
that's amazing! every time I think about getting a new hdtv and newer and better one comes out! first I was deciding to get samsung ln46a750, not ln46a950, now I see these 200hz ones and then I see the new oled ones on the verge of coming out! WHAT DO I DO? I don't want to spend $3,000+ on a good new hdtv and still be left behind. I guess I should wait another year for the 200hz to come out at a reasonable price.
It's just like computers.. There's always going to be something better. Especially nowadays it seems. You can either get the top model and sell it and trade up. Or find somethind midrange and be happy with it. You can't stay up to date. Just almost impossible. Figure out what kind of features you want.. Then find the best TV with that stuff.
@rctsos sony is definately better because all Samsung do is copy technology...they arent inovative to me

how can a tv predict motion without anny simple mistake?
cuzz motion is random.
yes i know how it,s work but still i wondert how the chip will be not getting burned with such difficuilt mostly impossible tasks.
i wonder if i would view the same movie million times, will the chip not make a simple mistate on one day.

Is it not an LCD screen. It is referred to as a plasma at the beginning but I think this is incorrect.
