  • Hi I'm Jordan from mrs leals class, you came and visited us. You told me you would write me a poem "Jordan's balloon" is that true?

  • @AshleyJordanVideos From orange to blue/ from happy birthday 2 peek-a-booo/ I love balloons/They take sadness away/bring smiles 2 my face/from them screeching n my palms/to trying 2 squeeze them under my arms/They make me laugh out loud/whether alone or n a crowd/Guaranteed to make me smile/I'll blow them from flat to float/Tie them with a rope/or a string/to have a ballon i'll even sing/whatever way they come/I always want 1/if i could make just one wish/2 float inside a balloon like a goldfish

  • Even at 26 it bothers the hell out of me I did not appreciate education and the effort my teachers put in ( regardless of how poor the school system was) to keep me from being like the kid in this poem. Now I have a newfound respect for those teachers who have a real calling and put in that extra effort both physically and financially to make sure the next generation has something to offer the world regardless of age social class or creed. I regret taking them for granted.

  • @nicacubano I am glad you have a change a heart. Now I know you will really change the world in a big way!

  • @monroe3323 wow. Thank you

  • Me best friend know this hold poem by hart!!

  • @shaykaren1 wow

  • I don't know why but I like this guy

  • @jack50nB Yayyyyyyyy!

  • Who's he talking to on the sides of the stage? And why is the camera on since he is not interested in talking to the camera--much less can't stand still for the cameraman. Geez.

  • @capie44 LOL. Was I suppose to stand still for the cameraman?

  • @LamontCarey1 Well, not for the cameraman, but for the audience. If the actor is moving---worse, the camera is moving-- then the audience cannot connect with their eyes...the best way to connect with one's audience.

I miss the old school of cinematograpy, that's all. I liked it when I didn't have to chase the actor around the screen and not succeed because the scene is only 0,.3 seconds long. I just miss the "good ol' days" when director's directed and not "artists."

  • @capie44 this was show for performing artist and not acting.

  • iv seen this a thousand times and i still means alot to me cause its TRUE

  • @Mr8Six4 thank youuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Using this in class tomorrow for my intro on slam poetry. It's a poem my students will be able to relate to. I'm hoping they'll find a way to use reading/writing as an outlet, & that they won't give up, even though it's a lot harder for them to read than the avg person. Thank you for this piece!

  • @Bigrlboi1 My day has been pretty good! I hope things are going great for you!

  • @LamontCarey1 Thank you! I just published my book of poetry yesterday! The world needs poets to keep the words free in our souls.

  • @Bigrlboi1 wow. Congrats!

  • Loved this. I'm a writer and write poetry as well. Poets are the words in which the world has trouble saying sometimes. So poets speak up for the ones who can only relate to the words. -Kelli from Ky

  • @Bigrlboi1 Thank youuuuuuuu! you keep setting your words freee!

  • Dopeness

  • @Tony5929 LOL. Thanks. Where are you from?

  • @hollywoodundead4eve1 Wow. What school?

  • Real nice Lamont! I know many that can relate to this poem. They couldn't read well either, so I was eager to help those people, that grew up to be great people, because the world of reading intrigued them to venture deep within the depths of literature. Damn. Now I was about to get lyrical. LOL! But keep doing your thing, man.

    Much love from Miami, Florida.

    -Erick J.

  • @smokintheblaze LOL. You are too funny! I am glad they had you to assist them. Now go ahead and get lyrical!

  • Lamont carey. You are a true genius when it comes to words. One of the first poets i heard that inspired me to write. i'm half as creative but i'm sure you know that writing gets me through the day. i wanna thank you for inspiration and changing my mindset. I just wish def jam poetry was still on air instead of all the other nonsense clouding my brain.

  • @MAURINOSO the beauty of you being a writer is that you can now create the content that you want to see on TV. I am honored to have been able to assist you in tapping into your creativity! The only drawback is that those stories will demand you to write and release them. Don't hold that against me!

  • I'm from Queensland Australia and I am also a huge fan of your work, thank you for replying!

  • @Josiemcosie wow. Honored to have u as a fan

  • Wow this is really powerful.

  • @Josiemcosie thank you. Where are you from?

  • At the end with the people smiling and nodding. How can you do that. this makes me the saddest I've ever felt from watching a youtube video

  • @superdunce77 I'm sorry that I made you sad. How are you today? Where are you from?

  • @LamontCarey1 the differences are that students in UK, no matter their background, race or religion are given every possible opportunity to make progression within the education; nevertheless it is within their full rights to make use of that.

Which leads me to this- I can't understand why people don't take the precious opportunities that are proposed to them but would rather live the ghetto fabulous lifestyle that promises empty mornings. It really gets to me and my black men don't seem to un

  • @SoDanelle2009 I can understand your frustrations. There are so many factors that causes these choices.

  • Your words are legit man. Everything you said is 100% true and it should open up some people's eyes to how the schools are run and how education is taking a back seat to sports and other activities. You opened my eyes and I thank you for that.

  • @factorx90 I appreciate this! Where are you from?

  • @LamontCarey1 Western Canada :)

  • @factorx90 Cooooool!

  • This was amazing.

Life is clearly different in the US than it is in the UK; your words were deep.

  • @SoDanelle2009 can you tell me the difference that came to mind?

  • @LamontCarey1 I'm originally from Pennsylvania but have recently moved to Indiana state for more education. Really, your work is awesome... accessible, hard-hitting, and skillfully addressing tough issues that many others are afraid (or unable) to touch. Never stop speaking the words that this world needs to hear. Never.

  • @Kelbert20 Wow. I really appreciate that! Are you connected with the student union? I would be interested in coming to your school. Thanks again

  • This is one of the most IMPORTANT poems of today.

  • @TheWizard108 :). Thanks!

  • Thumbs up if you saw this at school $:

  • @LamontCarey1 You should be alot more popular but you won't because the industry don't want strong words like this being released they rather Racks on Racks
