Looks to be the way Digital is going, need lots of portable power. From what I see in the demo. The regular internal batteries are used together with the turbo?
@redpinto Yes portable power is the way to go! You can do so much today without all of the limitations of bulkier equipment. The SC powers the flash by itself. If you were to turn it off, you would notice the regular AA batteries will take over. -Mike Z
I think that is a good product but it is subject to failure. I use the Canon CP-E4 battery back not it give very good recycle time and is able to mount on the camera. as well as the hip. I prefer it on the camera works fine for me. The difference is price by about $250.
@juanpaulr I am not sure what you mean by subject to failure? Many professionals rely on it on for an entire day of shooting and all of the reviews I have read indicate it is a great product. Have you personally had trouble with a Turbo SC in the past? -Mike Z
@UniquePhotoInc Sorry didn't mean to make it sound like its unreliable...What I meant is that as in any product using something other than the manufacturers product can lead to potential problems but you are correct the quantum is a great product I just prefer to have the product from the manufacturer and the canon CP-E4 is also a great product for the price.
