I flew LOT in March, and I have to say it was one of the best flights I have ever been on. The entertainment wasn't too good but I listen to music most of the time anyways. I took off from Toronto during that giant winter storm (if anyone remembers). But I must admit, everyone has their own opinion...

Przestańcie się już tak podniecać tym B787. Olaboga!! Jeden nowy samolot, też mi coś... "LOT będzie lepszy dzieki temu bla bla bla..." Taaaak, nie zapomnijmy, że w tym samym czasie inne europejskie loinie także będa miały dostarczone nowe samoloty, np. A380, nowy B747 itd., więc tak czy siak zawsze LOT będzie gorszy i nie ma co udawać potęgi.

Gdyby było zapotrzebowanie na 747 to już dawno by we flocie były. Po prostu w Polsce nie lata się aż tyle, żeby jumbo były potrzebne, że już o A380 nie wspomnę. Co innego np. w Japan Airlines w Japonii. Tam transport lotniczy jest bardzo popularny i nawet na trasę Tokyo - Osaka (godzina lotu) biorą 747, bo tyle ludzi chce lecieć. A 787-8 to samolot przyszłości. Już sam kokpit wygląda jak ze statku kosmicznego :P. Pewnie 747-8 będzie miał podobny, ale zawsze to jakaś nowość.

I have flown LOT 10 times in 2 years now because I have family in Poznan. I love going to Poland and love the people, but there are many things that just don't function as efficiently as a first world country including LOT. Look at a country that puts its prime minister on a commercial plane and announces the flight in the news. US AIR is trash as well but at least they smile while they are fucking your flight up hehe. LOT planes are Malluchs with wings.

Well can't say that LOT is perfect, but it's changing. The biggest improvement will be introducing 787 into LOT's fleet. And I think LOT's planes aren't THAT bad to compare them with Maluchs hehe ;) Maluch is total trash.

I'm actually pretty surprised to hear this. I might agree on wear-off of seats and some cabin appliances (but hey- these machines are 9 years old, and in non-stop service), though compared to others- LOT's 767s look pretty well on the inside.

No there are about 20 years old. Well I guess im exaggerating abit, but the in flight entertainment was actually bad. The film was only in Polish, and the head phones were nothing more then hollow tubes throgh which sound traveled through from the armrest. So if you squeeze the steathoscope, no sound! lol. But the pilots were good and the food was pretty good as well, so it is an average airline.

Yeah the Antonovs and Illushin and other russian classics are not in air worthy condition anymore. Im from Romania and I cant say that tarom (national airline for romania) is better then LOT, but Romania is on its way too. Memebership in the EU has been a great step and give us 20 years or so and we should be up to western european standards.

9 years old? try 21. my uncle is an aeronautical engineer, and works for lufthansa in warsaw, and eventually has to work on a lot 767, and told me the age of these planes. they are shity. the flight attendants are bitches, the seats are HORRIBLE, and the food is bad. i live in chicago, and whenever i fly to poland, i fly lufthansa, because i don't feel like endangering my life by getting on board a 20+ year old plane.

Polish pilots flying for Lot are one off the best pilots in the world. I've been flying with Lot everytime I go to Poland.Ive also flowned with British air alot and many others.
