  • I loooooove TakoYaki but you cannot get reallllly good and big, fat ones here in Seattle, unfortunately. Arrggggh :(

  • @GimmeKitty Gahhh, I just saw where this guy is using raw bacon, in stead of Tako ... I don't think so, folks. You can't cook up bacon to a high enough heat temp. using this method at home. I'd ONLY ... and I do mean ONLY .. use cooked bacon in my balls, were I to substitute it for Tako at all!!

  • @GimmeKitty You can get three types of bacon here: raw, cooked and smoked. This one is smoked. However, octopus arms are just hard to get, but if you are fine with calamaris heads those might work too.

  • @Leecher4711 Yeah, OK. I just thought that the RAW bacon wouldn't cook so good being put raw into a Takoyaki ball. I thought it had to be cooked first, and then added to those balls, to be thoroughly cooked, but, I guess not, eh?

  • @jaejoongiex its rapeseed oil with polyunsaturated fatty acids, so you should be fine.

  • You know that fusion "restaurant" is one of my least favourite place? Last time I went to one they served so called "soba noodles" as thick as udon noodles and the whole was tasteless..

  • @lankeysob Its Japanese sukiyaki hot sauce (red bottle) and soy sauce (brown/black bottle). Before that comes a thick sauce made of fried onions, tomato and garlic. And yeah ... its more like a westernized version based on the Japanese Takoyaki receipt. THX4watching
