The std 172 is a perfect balance and insanely fun, 300+bhp? why bother its fwd? when you power understeer off the road you will think: damn i could have got myself a rwd jdm (aswell) to learn those mistakes without broken legs and destroying a finely balanced clio. - i rate what you have done don't think i am hating too much

Thats not always the case though, clios are fuckin mental track cars and alot of people will agree with me on this.

The people who only get 250 out of it are the ones who settle for the stage 1 kit, tuning has more than one stage to it. Also it depends how you drive a FWD car if you just foot down all the time then yes you will have an horrific crash, it all depends what you do with the suspension and everythin.

I can tell you right now

that a clio 172 with a turbo will push out over 300 bhp and will keep up with a well tunde syline!

and on the german moorway it was easily doing 160 and supprising porsch drivers!

Most 2l turbo conversions on clios push out 250ish!!

Off the mark the skyline will eat it, due to its awd compaired with this front wheel car, mid range the skyline would destroy it with torque. Dont jump to conclusions over a car where you aint seen the results from the dyno!

also not everyone settles for the kit from k-tec they might add their own items like a bigger FMIC or better rods and pistons.... ITB'd clio's push out about 250.....

skyline has a much wider axel = more grip in the corners and allows much more controlled use of the power, this will simply spin out, overpowered fwd light cars have a history of crashing in horrific fashion and k-tec does not have the technology to change this

k-tec have there clio running about 300 to 320 bhp at the wheels and that thing does beat 500bhp skylines basically because of the power to weight issue.

A lad on a forum im on has a 450bhp clio (not standard engine) and weighing in at a meer 800kgs that thing annihilated all but 2 cars it cam up against on the pod.

I have looked into the turbo it for my 182 and found that its near £5000, money well spent cos it beats a 500bhp Skyline from 0-145mph...cant complain if you had one
