The young guy did a good job but I have seen Efren playing in local pool halls for money and he plays differently. I have also seen him do exhibition matches like this and he does give up weight....I have a video of him in my videos in a local pool hall. The cushions are bad,the tables not straight....he STILL plays fantastic !!!! Efren is a legend.....
Not to take anything away from the kid. He took some games off of one of the best playing but 9 ball isn't exactly a good measure of pool skill. For all we know Efren was giving up weight.
If he could beat Efren in one pocket that would really be something.
Okinawa and the Philippines are two of the greatest places I have ever visited. Even though I had a tough time talking to the people, they are hands down the greatest people on the planet. The only reason I got interested in pocket billiards is because a 70yr+ little Okinanwan man gave me my first lesson in getting hustled. I met with him every two weeks for the next six months and he showed me more in that time than you might learn in a lifetime. Forever indebted to that man. RIP Ronnie.....
@NAMTRIP Some of the greatest players in the world will never be seen on television but rather in nothing more than a bungalo with a few wood tables under a straw roof wearing tattered clothes. Just because you don't see them; does not mean they are not there. Efren has been playing pool since he was tall enough to reach the table. Efrem is one of the best IMO and he is also my personal favorite. I have visited and played in his stomping grounds and he is a national treasure and rightfully so.
very cool....sure wish i could get him to come to my town...kid did good job, made efren work for it a little. wish i couldve watch the whole match. Thanks for the video

Reyes is not going to demoralize a player with potential by obliterating him in an exhibition match. A true class act.
