i live in trimble tennessee and i went to the privite christan school in dyersburg when that happened it was so wierd because where mcdonalds and wendys and walmart and the mall was completely dry. the flood is gone now luckely.
Last month, FEMA Director W. Craig Fugate wrote a letter to Congress warning that its relief fund had fallen to $693 million as of April 7 but the agency owed $645 million to 47 states for past disasters. That doesn't include the $1.7 billion settlement for Hurricane Katrina.
Where are the whites up on their roofs yelling for help, the robbing and looting as in New Orleans? All I see are people helping each other and taking care of each other? And where is all the outcry to help them as their was to help Haiti ?
On the bright side, global warming was conclusively disproven by the snow storms in Washington DC this February, so we don't need to ween ourselves off of fossil fuels any time soon! DRILL BABY DRILL!
Wow -- I grew up in Dburg, wasted lots of teenage time at that DQ -- luckily my family is in "north" Dburg and avoided the flood. God bless those hit by the waters, I know my town will pull together and come out stronger.
Obama administration meets in emergency session to assess situation
and strategerize on how it can avoid or delay prompt action to avert or lessen disaster and allow situations to turn into a monumental crises for political advantage. Who ever took Brownies place is doing a heck of a job, anyone there?
You know, except FEMA was there before the flooding started, the president was on the phone with the governor monday morning, and approved federal funding on tuesday...
:( I lived in dyersburg for few years. Originally from Union City I now live in eastern NC. I saw something about flooding in western TN and WOW didn't expect it to be like this! My heart goes out to all, just stick together in this time of need and you'll all pull through.
Amazing and informative video. I'm surprised management at the State Gazette figured out this is news . . . something they seem to be unaware of on a daily basis.
thanks for the video, i've been waiting for some aerial footage of the flooding. i moved from dyersburg to NYC a few years ago, but i still have family and friends there that were affected by the flooding. Hope all is well soon!
Wow, that was crazy. i'm from Dyersburg, currently living in in Chattanooga and it is wild to see what my family and many other families are going through over there.
This is crazy! FYI this is not God it's nature... Without religion the world would have peace
