  • People are mean and they do question kids and ask what's wrong with them and they do have a hard time in school and in activities because they are not like everyone else.

    It is what I notice.

  • My step son does the same, he lines up cars and lays on the floor for hours and rolls then back and forth spinning the tires. He knows which one is out of place when we play with him and he knows his order. He does this especially when other people are around and other cousins and he has done this for years since he was 3 and now 8...He also had severe asthma and stuttering problems and would not look anyone in the eyes.He does not make friends. This is helpful.

  • umm i dont see anything wrong..i used to do that with toys i am 23 and dont have autism

  • @princegabe1988 Umm.....I'm not saying that if you play with toy cars the way my son does then you have Autism. Please read my main channel description page to see his traits and characteristics which make him Autistic and check out the other videos. Thank you for your comment and have a great day!

  • Dont listen to these silly people talking about you posting these videos, I thank you for posting them, as a fellow mother of an autistic child, videos like yours have helped me gain more insight into my sons world. So Thank you, and Best of luck!!

  • @PinUpPussyCat Thanks so much for your kind words. Means a lot! ;D

  • Ha! I used to do this! In fact, I'm 20 and I still do. Adorable kid, I hope all is well with you both :)

  • @dunyafilm yes, yes indeed, may the force be with both of them

  • for my cousin (hes has severe autism) with his aspergers he is smart and playing with toys is like he is testing the toys he makes sure evrything works b4 he plays with his cars

  • People are so narrow minded! If I didn't know better I would just say that's a little boy playing!

  • @absc19 No kidding, right? Nothing for him to be embarrassed about. :/

  • How is your kid going to feel if he sees this on here later ever thought of that?

  • @simbaandsimon In what way do you mean? He's just playing with his cars like he always does. I don't suspect that he will be embarrassed by seeing himself playing with his toys. If he is embarrassed (which he probably won't be since he is in his own world and doesn't seem to be all that concerned with what is going on around him, much less interested in computers) then I will remove the videos. Have a great day! :)

  • If I didn't know any better, I'd think I have a mild form of autism. I do/did just about everything these videos say autistic kids do.

  • its nice to see that there are others out there how have compassion for thease children my son is autistic and all the love i give him he gives back 10 fold i have gone to the stores and employes ahve asked us to leave becuse other peapol were uncofterbal buy him even when i explaned what was wrong we still had to leave and asked never to return it happens at resterants as a parent you would think others wouled be compasonet about his diability

  • @amberaustin46 Yep. We've been thrown out of restaurants too. A cashier got made @ my son once in Walmart because he was stacking the snickers bars @ checkout. He wasn't sqeezing or harming them in any way, just gently stacking them into a tower. When I was done paying, he helped me put them back where they belonged but she was still pissed.

  • @amberaustin46 wow. you spell worse than me.

  • My little boy loves cars too, he lines them up. Why is it a sign of autism. He looks to me like an other kid playing.

  • @andrealegeny It is only ONE of the signs he has. If you check out my channel description you will see the many signs he has that he is Autistic. He was diagnosed with Severe Autism.

  • @sweetfacesofautism that was me whne i was a little boy god my parents though i was reaterded god bless your son and your life

  • @goddamnkids75 Thanks so much. :)

  • Uh, this kid doesn't look like any other kid. I mean with all due respect and stuff.

  • @oracle2world How do you mean?

  • @oracle2world he looks exactly like a kid to me. no kid plays with toys the way you'd want them too. my daughter took barbie peekaboos and covered them in playdough, *shrugs* kid's cute as hell though.

  • He's 4 and in a diaper, he's not playing dramatically, but still engaging manipulatively with toys. Developmental delays like this are a key sign in autism.

My brother is autistic, and I myself am an Early Childhood Specialist

  • @Treemeadow *nods* it took a while for my god daughter to potty train to. it also took her a while to learn to eat. she had trouble with the chewing thing. remarkable child nonetheless. could read at 3, went from non verbal and using sign to speaking fairly well.

  • I actually remember finding the sound and blur of wheels on toy cars very soothing when I was little too. Though I mostly got girl toys, I remember having this fisher price car wash thing I really loved cause it had a ramp that winded around. I though it was fun to watch the cars go down it.

  • @Dokurochan85 Thank you for your comment. :) Now that you mention it, I know that is why he likes spinning the tires. He finds it soothing. Sometimes he likes to gently touch the spiining wheels with his finger because he likes how it feels. He also rubs his palm on blankets because it feels calming to him.

  • Awww, cute kid. ^_^ My brother is autistic and I have aspergers. He reminds me of my brother when he was that age. He loved tires and cars. Actually he still does. He loves nascar too. I think a lot of it is the sound of the cars going by and the numbers.

  • all the vids show the kids are focused on wheels...can you tell me why?

  • @68buickwildcat Sorry, wish I knew. :/ Wyatt is not verbal enough to tell us why he does some of the things he does. I would love to know what he is thinking sometimes. :)

  • So because he tried to figure out how that thing works, he has autism? (no sarcasm, just asking)

  • @gangstervural Apparently, you did not read my channel page description. (no sarcasm intended)

  • @sweetfacesofautism

Yeah that was no sarcasm... -_- Ok, yeh I didn't read it.

  • God bless his little heart....My grandson has autism and he has those matchbox cars and he watches the tires as he runs it across the table, plus he will line then line them all up....

  • @witcheypooh2000 Yes, Wyatt lines them up too! :)

  • Your son looks like he's gonna become a genius when he grows older. Im not even kidding. He's trying to see how stuff works.

  • @JuliusIsMe Awesome. :D

  • Since children diagnosed on the autistic spectrum typically have challenges engaging and sharing their attention with a person (mom, dad, friend)... try sharing his activity with him; watch what happens. If he's examining cars, you examine some too - join him first before asking him to join with you in your activity. Works every time! Really mean it tho- really be there with him. He might look at you, or check that you're doing what he's doing & start relating. Google PLAY Project & Son-Rise.

  • @jsarbora LOL...I'm guessing you did not see my other video titled "Autism Temper Tantrum". He gets very upset if someone touches any of his toys. In the morning, I get Wyatt up and my daughter will come into his room with us and pick up a toy that he has not played with in a long time. Wyatt gets angry and says, "No mine!" He gets so upset that I have a hard time getting him dressed for school because he wants to grab every toy she touches.

  • My son's pediatrician wanted us to get him checked for autism when he was around 3 because he wasn't talking yet but he soon started to speak in whole sentences. I used to play with my toys like this too when I was a kid but I never wound up with autism however I'm sure there are other things aside from this. We are, however, worried my son has aspergers but not quite sure yet. He exhibits some signs but not all of them so it's hard to pinpoint.

  • @Anglynn74 Yes, Wyatt has other "symptoms" as well. If you check out my channel description, it states all his characteristics. Aspergers is a higher functioning form of Autism so if your pediatrician already ruled out Autism, then it is unlikely he has Aspergers. From what I've learned over the years, Aspergers is usually not diagnosed until grade school. Good luck with everything! :)

  • @sweetfacesofautism thanks. He started kindergarten last month & has had almost daily crying fits in class where they have to take him out into the hall & talk to him to calm him down. They can't seem to figure out what is wrong. He got upset in gym yesterday because the kid next to him wasn't doing the jumping jacks the way he was supposed to according to my son. Yet when I bring him home he seems fine. He was delayed in speech, walking & potty training, not sure if there's any link.

  • my brother is autistic and deaf and he is 15 years old

is very hard to control him special now because is teenager

  • @elina0lia Awww, I'm sorry to hear that. :(

  • Why do autistic children stare closely to toys

  • @DAVE01568 LOL. Who knows? It would be cool to know what they are thinking sometimes.

  • @sweetfacesofautism As a person with Asbergers syndrome, who did exactly this sort of thing as a child, I can tell you that for me it was sometimes about examining the form of things; I would often try and work out exactly how things were assembled without pulling them apart.

About watching the wheels spinning, for me it was mainly the noise the wheels made when moving at such high speeds, I liked it, and watching the patterns made by the wheel rotating quickly was fascinating.

  • @RupertAndCheese Cool. It's good to know what may be thinking. I have always been curious especially since he can't tell us why he does the certain things he does. :)

  • @sweetfacesofautism A good rule of thumb, a lot of the time the reason behind behaviour (assuming my behaviour is similar to his) is that it's curiosity, not understanding properly how to do something (like playing), or frustration.

  • @DAVE01568 my mother takes care if a boy who autistic. But his is really bad. How bad is it in your case?
