... September ... Sixth ... Two-Thousand and Eight ... The Hurricanes of Miami Continue their Twenty-Three Year Winning Streak against the gay turds of the university of florida at gainsville (U.F.A.G.)
lol yes we will see, but i say let the past 3 decades of Hurricane Dominance over the gay turds speak for itself, i cant see one convincing reason as to why anything is different now between Miami and florida...
lol seriously? the gators are stacked this year man...our top 5 recruiting class from last year has a year under their belt, our D is lookin much much better. miami has the number one recruiting class, true, but they wont have the experience theyll need by the 2nd week. sorry man, miami is among the more storied programs in the nation, but right now they arent that great...give it two or three years and youll be back among the big boys, shit works in cycles
there's something about Miami's class that you either dont know or you just fail to realize. and thats that unlike most incoming freshmen these guys have been playing together all their lives, and have been on campus all spring, already adapted to the program and have hit the ground running, two or three years of acclamation is not needed in this case, their already acclamated, and on 9/6 you'll see exactly just how good they are
i dont doubt it is going to be a fantastic class, but even with the comraderie they already have, there is still a major difference in playing against high school teams and the high school atmosphere and the college level opponents and atmosphere that they obviously dont see in the spring. they will be a much improved team from last year no doubt, but they will not yet be a title contender.
again, thats the uniqueness of this class, MNW has played in college type atmospheres, they played a game at smu's campus (which was televised on espn) and the crowd was bigger than any game that stadium had ever seen, so when talking about MNW you're not talking about your everyday average high school football that only draws the attendence of relatives, theyve played in front of Thousands of people time and time again but i agree that there is a big diff in the talent level from hs to college
but it wont be as big of a factor as you think it will, and who said anything about being a title contender, i just wanna beat the gaytors lol, rather or not we contend for a National Title is up to them, that may indeed take a couple of years, the point i was making is that everything we need for a victory on September 6th, 2008 we Have. the only remaining negative factor to our program is an unproven offensive coordinator, we may need a new one but i'm willing to give him another chance...
this is rolivo29, new sn. anyway, really, youre pulling the "gaytors" card? i thought we were having a more mature conversation than that. i was grateful for it too cuz you dont get it too often on forums like this. oh well.
i will grant that Miami has a much better chance this year than the last few in beating UF, that the incoming freshman will be pretty damn good, especially as freshmen classes go. but the fact remains that they are still UNPROVEN. 1 week is not enough prep for this game.
