A little too fast. Remember when playing with feeling you must get 'inside' the music first and then re-create the spirit of the feeling of the music. Playing the right notes is only just the beginning!
It's a great inspiration to hear these pieces played, we play week by week, with no contact with organists it's good to share our music on the web. kind regards James.
I too would like to know where this organ is. The bells at the end? Those are change ringing bells and there aren't all that many change ringing towers in the US - many more in England where the art or method began.
I enjoyed that so much I watched it three times in a row! Could you tell us a bit more about the organ and the church? (Assuming it's a church from the sound of bells!)
Wonderful! You really know how to put the resources of this organ to good use. I've never heard this piece before. Obviously it would be a bit difficult to play on a one-manual instrument! I was wondering what I heard in the background during the quiet part, until you stopped for a second and I could identify the church bells!
This is my first attempt at using my new digital camera to record for you tube so it's a little rough in places. I hope you enjoy the recording and the organ. Its a beautiful instrument. Jonathan
