I've been playing for about 3 years and I see myself having potential but exactly how long should I have to practice Theory and technique in general to fucking shred like you?
Hey dude! Well as far as theory goes, I really don't know that much haha. What I can tell you though is knowing how a scale goes certainly can help you as you figure it out on the fretboard.
If anything, just figure out a pattern ranging under the 12th fret. And then use it throughout the entire neck. Hope that helps!
