He's adorable! Looks like a Maine Coon. I have 3 cats & they all get along great (didn't grow up together) It took about a wk to get used to each other.
OMG, he looks SO much better now. You really did a great job. Two cats are definitely better than one. They need companionship, especially if you are at work all day. Someone to play with and keep them occupied. Animals get lonely too! An older cat being introduced to a new cat might have an attitude for a few days, after that...naaaahhh, they'll love each other.
I think at the age your kitties are would be a good age for 2 of them.. when they are more than say 18 months old they are less likely to accept another cat.. cats are solitary animals.. so if you adopt this little cutie, I think your other cat will be ok.... such a gorgeous kitten....
YouTube won't let me leave a comment, because it is recognising my log in!
I do think that 2 cats are better, particularly if your sister works. They are great company for each other, and two aren't that much more work than one!
i think that keeping booboo would be fine and the other kitten your sister has it is still young in age too that i do not think it would be a problem is booboo a girl or boy what a cute little kitten i think she should keep it and the 2 cats have campionship and they are never alone while your sister is out of the home. good luck your friendly moderator jennifer
He us a cutie. I have 2 cats for now and thats all I can take care. Ask your sister to bring her cat over and see if they could get along. My 2nd is a rescue from a shelter in Kentucky and my other cat is still not sure of him yet. Good luck and nice vidio's. Mary Ellen Casey
I have 4 cats myself. I love each of them very much. I think your sister should definitely think hard about it. If she does take the new kitten Duffy will most likely not be fond of him at first. It will take time for them to get along together. I strongly suggest she talk to her vet about a good way of introducing a new kitten and what to expect.
Also the kitten will need vaccines and to be neutered. With all of that aside, 2 cats are twice the fun of 1! It's a lot of fun to watch them play with each other. I think that you can see more of their individual personalities when they have a companion.
Two of my cats are about 6 months apart and they have a ball together. Every morning they chase each other around the house and wrestle. Occasionally 2 of them will get into a little spat, but nothing extreme mostly just hissing and swatting. I really enjoy their company. If your sister really enjoys Duffy, then I'm sure she will enjoy another little guy.

That kitten is so cute. I think two cats are better then one. They will be
playmates to eachother. I couldn't post a comment on the utube page because I do

hi I would like to say sooo cute and yes if only the other cat gets along with
the kitten and does not fight with the kitten as well with the dog. if they get
along and you love cats then i would say yes. It would give the other cat
someone to play with are even love on.
clovermoon 3 years ago
absolutely positively 2 cats for sure!! Trust me on this one. Never ever have
just one. lol They keep each other company, entertained, out of trouble, and
they ahve someone to play with during the night when Momma is trying to sleep.
I believe that cats should always come in pairs...you know? Like socks. You cant
get one without the other. lolololol

and your hand over my mouth...AMEN..!

I agreed with Joan. Plus, sometimes just one cat just lay getting lazy, get
fatter. But with 2 cats they get exercise with each other

-Two cats do well together. I vote for 2. Jen

If someone is home all day with the kitty, he/she doesn't really need another
cat, especially if they're extremely independent, like our kitty girl is with
other cats. But if their people are gone several hours a day, a second cat
would be something the first cat would most likely need.

2 is always better than 1. (3 is better than 2 and so on) LOL. They keep each
other entertained. Plus they can play with each other in the middle of the
night while you snooze away. Plus you get double the purrs, double the love and
of course double the laughs.

I agree with the others. I think she should keep the kitty too. One can just never have enough cats..speaking as the slave of 4 lol.

Hi, the kitten is young enough to introduce to the first cat. They might not
hit it off at first but can learn to be friends and play together. When sister
is gone, they will keep each other company. Hope she goes for it. Dixie

Can't comment on the site as I do not want to join youtube, however, your sister
should take the kitten.

We have a sign that says
Cats are like potato chips - you can't have just one!
oh boo hooo. I'm sure gonna miss my two cats and my son. He just got
accepted to Pacifico - it's a co-op housing for students in Davis, CA.
He's moving at the beginning of June. He's gonna miss the cats, too.
clovermoon 3 years ago
I bought that sign for him for Christmas, assuming he was taking the
cats to college with him. :( I hope my uncle and cousin say yes to
adopting Leo and Mia.
If I ever have a chance to have cats again (if not Leo and Mia) I
would definitely have at least 2. Other than getting them fixed and
the shots, the expense of having 2 is not that bad at all.

when I got Sassy well Luna was not happy but now they are inseperable. Playing
and grooming each other
clovermoon 3 years ago
A few years ago, I rescued a friendly 4 month old kitten. At the same time, we
were fostering a VERY friendly male cat, age 1&1/ to 2 years old. Those two
were best buddies from the moment they saw each other, and I knew we could not
separate them.
clovermoon 3 years ago
A relative adopted them both, and they remain pals to this day.
They play and beat each other up all day, then snuggle & groom at night. It was
a very happy ending.
Two are better than one! I hope your sister takes the kitten.

Cute kitten! I had only one cat when I was living at home and right after I
graduated from college. When I moved into my own apt., Ginger would get so
lonely while I was at work and would cling to me meowing pitifully as soon as I
got home.
clovermoon 3 years ago
Eventually a stray came up which I adopted, and she and Ginger became
fast friends. I've had at least 2 cats ever since. They keep each other
company and it is better than just one cat. (Lions in the wild live in prides
and aren't solitary creatures, so why should our little kitties be solitary?)
Tell your sister to keep the new kitty--she will have endless hours of fun
watching them together!

I would always opt for 2 or more. They usually have so much fun playing
together and keep each other company when they are alone. I have 5.

Lucy has never really accepted any of her 'brothers' but has learned to tolerate
Royal. It took Royal and Speedy about a month to stop yelling at each other but
they are now best buds. They all wish Sundance were somewhere else.
