  • shit they were one hitmachine

  • thanks

  • Wats the name of this first song playing? Thanks

  • @spooke6

    Tombstone Shadow

  • they need to realease this on dvd

  • solo yogurd

  • Rock and Roll = Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, John Fogerty

  • @deweypug Little Richard

  • Love the edit from rehearsal to concert at 0:46. You don't see those anymore.

  • The boy has 'em all beat. Don't you tell me "no".

  • "Southern band" because the blues are very much a part of the music. Considering people say this is "three chord music" they seem to be able to put a lot of interesting things into it. Heh.

  • @lebarosky this is way more than three chord some of the progessions are not easy in some songs, its kinda like a train kinda like Johny cash just rock

  • @johnwaynejohnson Most CCR songs are three chords or less, but hey who cares. It's not how many chords you use it's how you use them, and with that voice he could play one chord and it would be awesome.

  • @Sunderlanding they maybe three chords but they are rarely power or the major chords. there is a ton of picking and lead through many songs but you are right what a voice

  • @johnwaynejohnson Actually they are mostly Major and Minor chords. Harmonically most of them are quite simple, but like I said it doesn't matter. Three chords are just as valid as thirty. It's not what you're doing, but how you're doing it that counts.

  • @Sunderlanding he uses alot of sevenths and eighths also

  • @johnwaynejohnson There is no eighth chord. An eighth is just an octave, or the same note as the root. He uses some dominant sevenths and some six chords, but those are just as common as major chords. Look I'm not taking anything away from his writting. CCR is one of my favourite bands, but to be honest he does write a lot of three chord songs. Just because it's three chords doesn't mean it's less valuable or less musical or even less creative.

  • @Sunderlanding i meant eighth nots i am just saying he uses alot of fucked up chords and it can be plyed in the majors but it has a different sound how he plays it

  • Having seen CCR live in Madison Square Garden back in the day, I can attest to the fact that they're live performances were awesome !!

  • I'll tell you what it is.....

these guys are dyed in the wool, REAL musicians who didn't give a shit about the marketing machines of today's music scene.
