  • I'm curious with the white cat at the end of the song. Any opinion ?

  • i think death is trying to torture those lovers by letting them see their love ones killed over and over again

  • Now I'm scared of that black cat that roams around my street....I'll never go out of the house anymore.

  • The art is freaking amazing...

  • Is there a sequel to this?

  • i think like that every time i remember certain someone and yes,it was a trunk that hit me.

  • WARNING!!! SPOILER!!!!! (STEINS;GATE)

reminds me of Okarin trying to save Mayushii.

  • Why would anyone hit the dislike button?! If you dont like it then dont watch it people!!!!! D:<

  • has anybody noticed that they used the last clock? it was actually the last time they'll have to save one another. or something like that... DX i don't really know!!!

  • Some how this reminds me of my aunt with schizophrenia, always being chased by invisible devils

  • so sad...

  • Japanese final destination

  • This reminds me of Steins;Gate.......

  • omg i freaking love this

  • I cried...

  • ど、どうしよう・・・このPVなける・゚・(つД`)・゚・

  • it's not an endless loop anymore, the clock that Gumi's shadow was the last clock of Len, she can't go back anymore to save Len, that's why she was crying at the end... Len wins... T.T

  • @MayhartChan I don't think that's Gumi and Len o -olll

  • @sugarycream haha I thought they were, they looked like them afterall... anyways, it doesn't matter what matters is what i said other thanassuming that they were len and gumi -.-

  • ...A vauge representation of HetaOni, sadly.

Amazing PV. Sad song. Eternal favorite.

  • When I read the title, I thought it was Jin himself (or her) singing.....

  • one thing i don't get.... why does the day keep repeating and repeating?!? :/ can somebody answer me?

  • @MayhartChan : 'cause Len have a lot of " life ". So when the girl dead, the boy's wish is to save her. So the black guy ( I think is the one who control the boy's life ) play a game wth him. Repeat his life until he can save her. But when his life only have 1 left. He decided to die in her place. But suprise that when she saw him head, she have a wish just like him and .. the samething will happen ^^.again :D

  • @MayhartChan You need to look deeper into it.

  • @ZombieSharky actually after watching this for the 30th time I already got the message and why the days keep repeating and etc but one thing I don't understand though... why does the boy only have ONE TIME CLOCK left unlike the girl who had many CLOCKS before the last one where the boy saves her... can somebody answer me?

  • If this was real, about 90% of my country's population of people would be dead every 5 minutes.

  • i think this all started because she said because she said she didn't like summer, hence the heat wave got mad

  • I love this song! It made me wonder for a few hours WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED???

  • This is like a game~

  • More like hetaoni.

  • @Animefestify Hetalia fan! :Brofist:

  • let me guess that red dude is death

  • This makes me think of Steins;Gate.... Crying so much for both of them <3

  • Stein gate refference?

  • this is probably one of the deepest songs i've listened to because any given video has like hundreds of interpretations of the story in the lyrics. keep it up.

  • The boy was given another chance everytime to save the girls' life, but when he noticed that everything he does to save her just gives her a different method of death, so he decided to take her place. But then, after that, the girl was given the same gift as him, from what I've noticed.

  • This is a seriously interesting story. I wanna hear more of this, srs.

  • THUMBS UP if you saw the "Jin" on the truck at 3:01

  • @FunAnimePop

How about when you see Shizennoteki on the boy's iPhone.

  • @hikarisakura321 What does Shizennoteki mean? Is it the phone brand...?

  • Comment removed

  • @FunAnimePop The song composer....? XD

  • @punchify13 Ah, I didn't notice that! I didn't know it was the song composer- I didn't really check to see. ;P But I did know who Jin was, so yeah, natural reflex. Thanks for pointing that out~

  • @FunAnimePop Lol Jin killed teh girl... XD

  • @MikahxLee Well actually, it repeats in a loop over again, read the second-to-first comment. XD

  • Make me think of Higurashi no naku koro ni...

  • If you understand the lyrics you then understand what is actully happening.

  • This song is insane... It basically shows that you can fight fate, but what kinda fate is that?! I cried for them both. v_v

  • If you listen closely, it has that old school style music. o_o

  • Poor yui...

  • To me, this song is the same to what VocaloidEpicness and sehromiTOONberry said. Except at the end when the boy died for the girl, that was the girl's last "life" so now she has to live on without him. It's like they keep going back in time to save each other and whoever survives "loses." I hope i'm making sense here.

  • The guy in red & girl in blue are probably the reason why the day just starts over and over. idk about the girl in blue but i know wats up with the boy in red. He just wanted to save the boy from dying again and again. @3:16 it shows the boy in red freaking out when the boy dies. Then he cries when the boy says 'serves you right' cuz i guess he jst wanted to save him. Either way red boy & blue girl will repeat this day again nd the other 2 will jst keep dying. it's a cycle dat wont ever end...

  • i think i'd go crazy if this kind of event went on a never-ending loop in my life ._.

but great song i love it :DDD

  • oh my god.. like.. I managed to watch Servant of evil without crying and this... holy crap I died a bit..

  • ITS A MIRACLE THAT THIS VIDEO DIDN'T GET FLAGGED YET XDDD

  • @MrTheShademan1 Why would it get flagged?

  • @Widmouno Cuz of all the blood and...A Pole Goes through the girl Lol, this could give nightmares to kids under age of 13 :S

  • This is just too bloody Xd

  • im pretty sure that's Miku at 2:11

  • コレを見てからやっとストーリーがしっかり分かりましたw

  • this reminds me of final destination when even if you save someone you end up getting killed in the end

  • There's some things in this video that I noticed XD :

The Text on the truck : Jin (the composer of the song's name)

The text on the boy's phone : Sizennoteki (again, the composer's other name / aliases : Shizen no teki-P)

The dolls on the girl's room : one from the song "Headphone Actor" by IA the other one (the Miku doll) I still don't know the name but it's definitely one of Jin's songs too

The phone's battery meter : it may be a coincidence but, 39 could be read as "Miku" (mii-kyuu) XD

  • guy: *calls girl on phone* girl: hey whats up? guy: hey i got an idea girl: what is it? guy: lets just stay inside today girl: ...agreed... why didnt we think of doing that sooner? guy: just stay away from sharp objects and stairs girl: okay will do! girls parent in background: honey, would you run downstairs and get the scissors!? girl: (to parent) ok ill go get them (to guy) gotta go bye *hangs up phone* guy: yep we're boned for eternity
  • Is that Miku at 2:10 ?

  • @Ericklondike

My opinion... But what I think she meant by saying 'she failed today'... It means that she failed by not dying, she has died so many other times but that day the boy went in her place and died instead of her...she has had this repeated life of dying everyday that because she didn't die that one day then she "failed" her job of dying..lol hope that makes sense ;p

  • Heat*

  • Pole*

    Instead*

  • I'm so confused at the part when the pole pierced through her. If you look and pay attention, Len I'm guessing looks like an unsuspecting victim, it seems as if he was originally gonna get pierced by the pole. And the girls expression when the pile starts to fall, it was as if she knew what was going to happen. And she ran in front of him getting pierced insted of him, then she smiled like how he laughed at the heart in the end. Idk thats what I think.

  • @KagamineAl That reminds me of the scene when the boy pushes the girl out of the way to save her from the truck. The boy knows what will happen to the girl so he sacrifices himself. In the pole scene, I think the girl knows what is going to happen to the boy so sacrifices herself. Because of this, I think the girl is trying to save the boy just as the boy is trying to save her, too, but the PV only shows the boy's perspective. And the black cat symbolizes death or misfortune.

  • @KagamineAl if you see the translation then you know that it's an endless cycle. One is always trying to save the other only for the one to be saved to try and save their dead friend. There you see the girl jump to the pole because she wanted the boy to live but as we know, the boy later on dies doing what the girl did....it's a eff-ed up song in reality XP

  • Did anybody else notice at 3:04 the company the truck was made by is Jin? (aka the producer of this song) :3

  • @NaoiKawaii oh thx lol XD

  • Man some many different perspective views of this song, I can't even think of a different one because I'd probably use the same answer as someone else >.< anyway addicting song and sad PV

  • Oh man, this song makes me sick cause it's so intense

  • I am so confused, why did she fail...? and how did she wind up dying more than once?

  • @Eraklondike The song is about two friends caught in a Groundhog Day loop. Each time, one of them dies to prevent the other from dying. So the end of the song is a bit like the second verse, wherein she wakes up after her friend's death. It's pretty confusing to explain, I'd probably recommend looking up some stories with this type of plot.

  • intente traducir los subtitulos al español y segun esto decia la cancion:

"brillan como una mentira , no se encuentran"

"el reloj esta sonando en la cama despierto"

"usted tiene un poste de acero clavado en el otoño"

    wtf? ._.

  • This should be an anime, it'll probably never happen, but it should.

  • I heard shoujo manga in there somewhere.....

  • @TheQueenNinja12599 shoujo wa tada...is what you heard

  • At 2:10 i saw Miku and thought....."Ummm why so shocked...your singing it...O.o"

  • I really like this PV, but i hate the fact that he cant save her -.- its depressing, lol.

  • lovw how the battery percentage is 39% <3

  • My gosh, this reminds me so much of Madoka Magica... If one compares what Homura started doing in episode 10 for Madoka to this pv, it's really REALLY similar.

  • im so confused....can anyone explain this to me?

  • @punkrose1225 ok well yes it is a little confusing but i think that he is forced to live the same day over and over again thats why she dies so many times he tries to keep her alive but since its the same day she has to die but to end it he kills himself to save her sob....................hope this helps

  • @AkiraNinaite The story is basically that they're trapped in a Groundhog Day loop, and they're trying to stop each other being killed. So she says she failed because the boy died at the end, and it'll keep going forever or something?

  • god this reminds me so much of hetaoni O_O

  • @animefan1ful Oh i know right? These timeloops are always the saddest ;__;

  • @leitedestiny hnnng!!! poor ita-chan!!! ITA-CHAN U MUST LIIIIIIIVVVVVEEEEE!!!!!

  • Maybe if he told her what was going on- she she agreed that the same thing was happening to her- they could have both done something about it. Something I imagined them doing is both getting hit by the truck...

  • at 3:16 if you pause it really quickly you see the " haze " looking back at the girl and smileing

  • @Kataliea It's actually the "heat" XD You could see the "heat" was crying while covering his ears with both of his hands 3:17 too C: guess it was from when the girl's truck accident happened ;u;

  • &tehvipersnake LOOOL steins;gate and chaos;head?

  • i don't really like this vocaloid stuff and just watched/listened out of curiosity, but this video.... well it's pretty cool :O

  • I blame the cat.

It was there all the times the girl died >:D

  • This would make a good manga... a kid trying to save his girlfriend from dying, and his evil self trying to stop him, with some evil force making the kid have to go through all this. :3 I would read it. Anybody else?

  • It's just like a game. They're both trying to save each other by dying. And the clocks they see are the number of 'lives' they have. But whenever the girl wins (by dying) and saves the boy, he thinks he has failed in saving her, and loses a 'life'. He only has one life left, so to save her, he kills himself, which is like him winning. But, the girl then thinks she has failed because he died, and loses a life, so, to win, carries on dying to save him, while he dies to save her. Just like a game.

  • Reminds me of Butterfly Effect and Final Destination.

  • I'm getting a Certain;Vibe from this video.

  • ...why was this in my suggested video next to 'Dancing through Life' from Wicked...not that I don't like Vocaloid I love them actually. It's just random and I don't see the connection lol

  • It has come to the point that just hearing this song makes me cry. And I've repeated it maybe 30 times now. It's just so sad, but I can't stop listening to it.

  • @MyDearRabbit Me too! It`s just so heart braking!

  • I think it’s like the kid is in purgatory for doing something bad, and he has to repeat the dream a certain number of times (each time he goes back a clock gets bloodstained?) to escape. However, him sacrificing himself kinda screwed the system (all the clocks get broken), so it has to start over with the roles switched. Iunno. This song is major mindfuckery. Just trying to make a somewhat-happy ending. ;A;

  • The event is similar to what happens in Suzumiya Haruhi... time loop in summer, but in this one there is death present :D

  • well i think that girl is been cursed..so every time someone sacrifice themselves they become a cat.. cause the last part of the video the cat become white right? idk -.- also what's with the girl's soul?

  • Steins gate

  • Am i only one who's drawing parallels with Madoka here ? I mean Homura going into endless reiterations of the present in order to save her from dying but failing every time. Not implying this was ripped off, just a note. I love this song so much.

  • Oh my I just realized the entire picture of what's going on.. (My interpretation at least)

We know throughout that the boy keep trying to find ways to save the girl from dying but every time she dies and he lives to try again. This continues only until he sacrifices himself to save her. But judging by 2:03 and the ending, the girl is on a different timeline where she's trying to save the BOY from dying. So basically it's like a never ending thing where the other HAS to die for one to live..

  • "What is written in the timeline cannot be changed!" "You were supposed to die, so it will catch you and see to it that you meet your fate" "...You cannot change your fate... No man can..." - Prince of Persia - Warrior Within, damn I like things related to fate, death, timeline and crazy shit like that :D

  • Reminds me sooo much of the movie "the time machine" where the guy and his sweetheart are out on a date and she is killed by a robber, then the man, heart broken makes a time machine to save her and each time she dies a different way every time. Apparently he traveled back in time 1000 times and she died 1000 different ways before he could accept that she could not be save, you can not changes what is fated .... death is something we must go through I think the same message applies in this song

  • Who's the guy in red

    Who's the girl in blue

    oh god so confused

  • @Ciskasan The guy in red is the boy's "Heat"

The girl in blue is the girl's "Heat"

    well, it is kinda confusing XDD;;

  • My interpretation (after reading everyone else's):

After the first death, they both fall into a coma. Sorta like inception, they're stuck way into their minds until they get out of the cycle. The only way to get out is for both of them to die in the same timeline. Once they do, they wake up. The first "death" isn't actually a death; someone calls an ambulance in time for the girl.

    ...It helps me picture a happy ending... okay??? ;A;

  • Why does the guy with black hair dressed in black and the black cat reminds me of Train Hearnet from the manga/anime Black Cat by Kentaro Yabuki, while "delivering bad luck"...??

  • ...This is like a Final Destination movie in song format.

  • This is so awesome. I already loved the song, now I love it even more.

  • This is like what Houmra tried to do ...

  • @SillehFiggleJiggle It didnt stop. It won't ever stop if they keep doing what they're doing.

  • My god how much i love the story and animation to this video! I Bow to this. *Bows*

  • @CosplayFinatics ALL HAIL TO KAGEROU DAYS! lol jk xD

  • The moral of story, the girl was always trying to save him. Since the first time and then when the boy sacficied himswlf the girls blue figure came out. Showing on. Both sides of the story was the same

  • this reminds me of madoka magica lol

  • They need that wise African man that's in all of the Final Destination movies.

  • There should be a durarara parody of this with kida and saki

  • I heared black cats are unlucky. :'c

  • -as i was saying- his dark side didnt want Senaka himself to get killed and so started to break down(cry) the girl Jin's "other side" had awoken or appered after seeing that. - then Jin wakes up. Apperently seeing Senka die was just a dream. She was crying because of it...then Jins other side appers. She wants to get rid of Senaka...thinking the nightmares are all because of him.

If u need any more help understa.dubg vocaloid songs/pv's just write on my wall. ;)

  • The red boy is Senakas conceiance or his other darker side that hates the girl. Its all about the dreams that the boy Senaka and the girl Jin have been having. All Jins deaths that Senakas been seeing scared Senaka. And so he trys his hardest to save Jin and put her out of harms way....but when the red boy appers Jin meets another unlikely death. Until it drives Senaka insanse.

The next day he awoke it was all in the real world....Noticing this Senaka killed himself to save the girl. - read next

  • Senkaaaa!!

  • 感動した

    泣けてきた

  • This is definitely my favorite PV for this song :D

  • I really love the song and the story it tells.

It's so sad though. Two children stuck in an endless loop of trying to save each other.

  • Okay, in the lyrics, it says that the boy (and maybe the girl, too) knows that this has been going on. FOR DECADES; this has been going on. Like Kisilin said, we see the boy impaled around 3:16 or so. HE DIED FIRST, and that girl is putting herself in harms way to undo it. BUT, he died AGAIN, so all the dying the girl did was in vain. DarkReflectionBoy was actually the cat trying to speed the process up, I think. ewe HELL, I don't think I made sense.

  • This is the most sadest song I have ever seen ;A; also don't you think it's very familar to puella mahou madoka magica <-- dunno if I spelled it right but if you haven't seen the anime watch it right nooooooowwww or you will regret it XDXD LOL srsly !

  • @HanakoAnImeLover11 ...Watch Steins;Gate.

It's much more similar than Madoka, I swear. O.O

  • GAH READING ALL THESE THEORIES IS KILLING MY BRAIN DDDDX

...anyway, I think the "moral" of the song is that death is unavoidable despite all our efforts, but I can't really figure anything out besides super-awful-nightmare-Groundhog Day-death-loop for the story itself. ><

  • Sooooo steins gate much?

  • @NekochanXDemyx Totally.

  • I had a little fun and pause when there was quick images flowing.

At 3:16 the guy is impaled by the pole instead of the girl and few frames later you see his "dark reflection" who was shocked and crying holding his head in his head.

So, imo, what's started the loop was the guy's accidental death. Time rewind and his dark reflection took the form of a cat and lead the girl toward the traffic so the guy will stay alive. He dirtied his hands by doing so has illustrated at 1:25 .

  • Yeah I think it is a loop, like the first time she died it was an accident. Then that same scene got replayed over and the girl saved the guy. Then the girl kept dying until the guy saved her (by killing himself). Now the girl is trying to save the guy, and he wont come back until she dies for him...? OH WHATEVER I DONT EVEN KNOW X'DDDD sob

  • Inception ._.

  • I noticed the snow flake button, I pressed it when the lines, "I hated summer" came up. ROFL

  • I got goosebumps..

  • Best vocaloid song I've heard yet. :)

  • ??? Why did the dying stop when the boy got himself killed?

  • esta cancion me parece algo muy triste T.T

  • Who is singing?

  • @PopK811

    hatsune miku

  • Great ! This PV is awesome, good job ! I like the song too !

  • That guy looks alot like rikuo

  • Beautiful song and history ! :D

  • as a friend said, it's like a mix of final destination and Butterfly Effect x'P

    and well.. I think she's right =w='

  • i have a very strange feeling that THAT GIRL CAN'T DIE!!

  • Instead of repeating the same day and trying to safe the person you love why can't they die together it easier and they don't have to face death every day

  • Death loved trolling with the guy until shit went wrong at 3:13

  • Death does not like to be cheated.

  • 'kagerou' can also mean mayfly, which has the saddest life ever

  • @kinsella I thought a mayfly's only purpose was to mate.

  • ....this reminds me so much of Final Destination. o_____o

  • 0:56 Jin's name is one the car : D

  • She gets hit by the lorry, and dies. The boy gets other chances so tries to avoid her death by keeping her away from the lorry, but then she gets hit by the pole. A red boy is there, who I think is 'death'. The 3rd time, he avoids all of them, but she falls to her death down stairs. He then realizes the only way to save her is to equal the sacrifice, so he leaps infront of the lorry, killing himself. She then thinks she failed to save him, and it starts again, the opposite.

    Death is unstoppable?

  • Instead of giving my own interpretation of this song, I'm just gonna say, I freaking LOVED this PV! That is all.

  • This is my interpretation. It's a 2-step cycle. Boy dies from pole, girl dies from car. First death in video is showing second step. Next morning, cycle restarts. The girl somehow realizes that if one of them dies in both steps of the cycle, the cycle will break. So, she purposely is killed by the pole. The boy somehow remembers that she will die from the car, so he steps in front of it. The girl "failed' because they still died one time each, saving eachother, and the cycle continues.

  • So...basically,the boy will never managed to keep the girl safe even if the time goes back and the same thing goes to the girl's situation too? Was it like that? Sorry,I try to understand the lyrics through the 'Japanese - English' caption..... Still...it's really irony, kinda deja-vu and.........really tragic....this Miku's song went straight into my favourite though ^ ^

P.S The person who did this amazing PV for this Hatsune Miku's song, I SALUTE YOU!
