i am not a huge fan of dashes work but i have to respect all he went thru to create it esp.the polaroids which were a depiction of his life and struggles aswell as highs and lows, and it demonstrated pure openness to the world by publicly displaying them, i am a fan of his graffiti guy got up a lot so two go from two extremes of art and be good at them i think is an accomplishment, its sad he died so young, but i think people bashing him via youtube should grow up hes dead an cnt defend him self

Ha ha, man I love the dash snow haters talking about how he is a mediocre artist, not even knowing he was one of the top graffiti artists in New York. He could bomb all city and could paint pieces pretty damn good (especially the last pieces he did).

Stop with the basquiat comparisons, basquiat never proved that he could paint at all, dash snow (aka SACE IRAK) has time and time again.

im from newyork and ive heard about this kid . its sad that anybody has to die . but what it needs to be said is this ,dash was not a great talent or even a good one ,my six year old niece can take better polaroids than this kid and his collages give me a break junior highschool stuff,to compare him to basquiat is even more ridiculous ,basquiat could paint. dont buy into the hype that vice magazine and its legion of hipster zombies are saying . this kid was a well conected mediocre talent.

I have to say that I believe you're quite mistaken with your sweepingly narrow critique of an entire body of work. Good use of adjectives there kid. Why doe's Basquiat suck? I can see that the guy was somewhat talented. However! The comparison between Dash Snow and Jean Michele Basquiat is a moronic one. It's not a matter of opinion. It is rather a matter of fact that what Jean Michel Basquiat was able to do artistically in his twenty seven years far exceeds the limitations of 99.9 percent of the artists over the span of the last hundred years. It is only a matter of his circumstances (a "fly boy in the buttermilk" as Greg Tate would say) that discredits his genius.
