Is this a joke why would you compare Bruce Lee and master Oyama, martial arts all have their advantages and disadvantages there is no better style. It all comes down to the practitioner. Mas Oyama was a dedicated martial artist as was Bruce Lee it dose not matter who was better, martial arts is supposed to make you humble, just keep your head down and practice to better yourself and stop comparing others put yourself to the test and see if you can even match their greatness

Bruce didn't , he make movie to entertain or change the world with stereotype. also studied philosophy to be a well balance person. Bruce combine whole mess of art together called jkd . oyama did the same except fight bulls can you tell me what the difference ?

@hotpopcorncake In my opinion Bruce Lee was the best if it wasn't for him MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) would never existed. Bruce Lee believed in becoming a well-rounded fighter Mas Oyama didn't believe in that. I love Kyokushin but Kyokushin have no footwork JKD has elusive footwork Kyokushin guys are more foward and lack punching in the face. Bruce Lee JKD consist of Wing Chun,Boxing,and Wrestling. Oyama killed bulls so... Bruce Lee didn't had to prove himself to nobody.

How you think that fast punching came from? and where did you think the adaptable fast Mauy thai kicks came from? Mas oyama took it to a another level. Any chimp could punch in the face it's all tech that accounts. Btw i can't say about the difference between kyokushin footwork and jkd. but i can find out

@hotpopcorncake If that was the case why didn't Mas Oyama incorporated boxing in Kyokushin the reason Kyokushin guys have Muay Thai kicks is because Oyama wanted to challenge them but Oyama students where defeated that when they learned to kick like Thai fighters. I Have a lot of respect for Mas Oyama but Bruce Lee believed in becoming a smarter and technical martial artist Oyama didn't. And if you see Kyokushin tournament they are very forward no footwork involve.

@SkyCutterFan17 He did it's in there, we use what ever we can in fighting, but we just make our self tougher. not really some Mas oyama student beat muay thai fighters, in fact the character ryu from street fighter derieved one of Oyama student that beaten a muay thai fighter...that just your conclusion from a vid and we do have footwork like Tai sabaki, ok if you look up enshin karate, it's supose be how oyama fight in street aspect and see if there any footwork there?

@hotpopcorncake Footwork is extremely important if you don't have any footwork your in trouble. Kyokushin is more for tournament fighting. Bruce Lee was a type of person that believe in technique and defense. Bruce Lee has influence MMA, Cartoons like feilong from street fighter. I have a lot of respect for Oyama he was tough as nails but I got to give it to Bruce Lee. Just because Bruce Lee didn't kill bulls, challenge people around the world doesn't mean anything.

@SkyCutterFan17 OK if kyokushin has no footwork, Why in k1 most of it kyokushin guys step the plate first, beaten lot muay thai guys..ok for me i rather learn from a guy kill a bulls/some devoted themself to the art (like musashi) then from a actor/philosopher/broken stereotype rules in movies blah blah blah..

@hotpopcorncake K1 is more like Muay Thai and Kickboxing just like Kyokushin except more detailed. Are you familiar with Ernesto Hoost AKA Mr. Perfect a man that has defeated so many Kyokushin fighters in his prime well that man is a pure Kickboxer. I love Kyokushin my brother. Bruce Lee believed in pure technique and said that martial arts its not only fighting but is a way of life my friend. Bas Rutten and Jerome Le Banner have Kyokushin background and have been influenced by Bruce Lee.

@hotpopcorncake Well in JKD they're very technical because JKD is a mixture of Wing Chun, Kickboxing,and Wrestling. Unlike Kyokushin you guys could take hits but the question is do you know how to counter attacks?

Mas oyama=brutal strength+toughness,killing bulls,smashing rocks etc.Earlier i thought oyama wins because of "bull kill" factor but after i watched "kyokushin vs other arts" vid. All i can say is we cant say anything as they never fought.

DEFINITLY kyokushin guys r lot stronger than otherstylists yet they match them competently due to SPEED.

@hkbaby1985 bruce lee was 20years or more younger than mas oyama.they never met each other but mmas oyama wrote his book call'hyakumanin no karate(katate for millions) in 1969.he said'people asked me such a question like'master! can you defeat bruce lee?' i lost my answer oyama said.'bruce lee fights in movies,i had so many real fights.movie fight and real fight is totally diffrent!.' so mas oyama knew bruce lee but he wasnt care that much.

musashi trained with swords right?! Mas Oyama bear fist fight so it is not comparable I think Oyama is one of the greatest who really proved himself in real fights a great warrior one of a kind and all respect for what he achieved. Osu

@steven1986ify A strong mind, body, spirit, and deep understanding of combat techniques and strategy are required no matter what weapon you use to fight. Fist, sword, or even assault rifle require unexplainable sacrifice in order for a man to master his combat art. There is no difference between the mind sets of Musashi, Oyama, or Fuller. Each one used a different weapon but would have all payed the same price if they did not truly understand bushido.

I think Musashi would still win, his spiritual discipline was far more longer and rigorous compared to Oyama. And more, he was a weapon master, and Oyama used his bare hands. :)
