  • =O no fair! our school doesn't get a computer music class!

  • 1:20 dodododo

  • is this wat virgins do now a days... play with fake guitars u_u

  • @adrianvgomez Hmm, I'm just going to assume that you, have a musical intrument, and get all the hos, and STDs.

  • @KyraTheDruggie nope i gots goneria... what r u doin l8r on???

  • @adrianvgomez Oh ok, never had goneria before, most likely your mother.

  • ='0

  • nice

  • Seriously, this is amazing. Thank you for making this. I don't see why this only has 32,000 videos. I admire you. Ant this is a computer music class? For high school? Damn. This is the kinda shit that makes people money..

  • probably one of the coolest videos on youtube, i like to see poeple having fun with music

  • wow.... I've gotta agree with EJRocky I don't like guiar hero either coz its not the real deal but this is cool lol.

  • THis is very good. Did you get an A?

  • It's basically a piano guys... not a guitar.

Just cause it says stratocaster.... plastic a guitar does not make.

But nice idea, concept .and project. Great way to show your instrument/techno piano hybrid.

  • Dude, that's pretty sick! You gotta tell everybody how you did it. if it's legit ya know...

  • Good job dude! Can I get the Max patch from you if that's cool. I'd be interested in performing that at some time myself. Cheers

  • cooooolll!!! but ... your.guitar?? have four sounds nothig more.....

  • dooooope

  • dude this looks fake but it isnt how did you do thar

  • He just got the song clips and did the buttons so it played it in that order which is awesome XD

  • this would be rad if he wasnt making that sstupid pucker lips face. Dude... im not sure whats going on here... the keys are linked to the samples and the whammy bar is linked to whatever effects... but the video is glitching... did you / he use jitter as well?

  • dude this is one of the best things iv seen in ages!!

  • Nice job.... What computer music school is that?

  • 5 stars

  • upload a high quality audio recording of this, it's better than the original!

  • This is pretty awesome.

  • this is awesome

  • I did this with Fl studio and xpadder

  • lol. your silly

  • lol your a twat :P

  • This sucks, he's all over the place.

  • YEAH!

  • I very much dislike these Guitar Hero type games, because real guitar is just better, but jesus christ dude, this is fucking awesome.

  • yea really its only fun for people who cant play guitar and/or a real instrument. for the most part at least.

  • I love the game. Even though i can play 3/4 of the songs on real drums. And play real drums for like 1 hour every night. . And im really goood at rockband and good at drums. =)

  • Its also difference for drums. In rock band you actually have to play drums

  • What do you mean??

  • first off, its not the game, he's only using the controller to sample sound files, second off I know people who play guitar and play guitar hero/rock band, its a rhythm game people can come together and play to test their hand-eye, etc. Just because you suck at it doesn't mean it sucks

  • By definition, rigging a Guitar Hero controller this way makes it into a real (electronic) instrument, which is played very differently from an actual guitar. See also the MIDI setup done with MIDItar.

  • it's rock band actually not guitar hero

  • could you give me the mxf file plz

  • Very very cool. 5+ =)

  • Can I have the link of this project plz I wan't it..if it's can work on guitar hero 3 controller..

  • SWEET

  • hahahahahahaha, awesome.

  • omg this is fucking awesome! i want one

  • First you must know Max Msp! heheheh It's a little difficult to understand at first.

  • My god that was awesome. It would take me days just to memorize what all buttons were doing :P

  • Love it..cool.. 5starz

  • AWeSOM0!

  • nd wut's dat in ur finger?

  • This is awesome. :-)

I did a similar project before MIDItar Hero where you could load an audio file and change the playback speed and use various filters using the buttons and joystick on a gamepad. I've been considering adding something similar to MIDItar Hero but haven't got around to it yet.

  • i'm trying to do what you did using songs to play on the rock band guitar, but im confused. i was wondering if you could show a walk through on how you did it. i can't seem to find anything other then how you do it with garage band and game pad companion. can you help me out please?

  • Very nice! Do you have a writeup of how you did it? I've been trying to do something similar with VSTHost, a stack of VSTs and a hacked up MIDI controller, but using even a regular XBox controller might work better... You were using an XBox360 controller I assume?

  • No, sorry. No writeup. But it really wasn't too difficult. I've used both the XBox 360 controller as well as the PS3 one. It's really just a matter of getting your computer to correctly recognize the USB controller and then using the "hi" module to poll the input values. Then I just map these values to trigger various events

  • @ipsodox this is very cool, and has immense potential for productive use (i.e. triggering clips from a sequencer w/ the d-pad controlling banks, etc.) Do you still have this patch, and could you send it to me? I'd very much like to build upon your work.

  • holly crap uve routed all the buttons to acquire different effects im still flabergasted at how Max Msp Patch works i know one person has routed it to use movements as triggers for the effects but uve done something totally different i cant really comprehend it all lol....HELP!

  • Thats insane!!! Hate the Max MSP though! Well done for being so freakin clever with it! :)

  • "HAHA, fake... lolz" Nah, really. Very well done, congratulations. I'll be playing with MIDItar Hero soon enough (also in Max/MSP?) but I don't expect to be that good... at least not so soon. ;D Congrats again.

  • Yep, MH is also in Max/MSP. :-)

  • this is so sick, and seems like it'd be so much fun

  • holy crap.

    you are a genius

musical and otherwise. was that at cal with wessel or for some other class or some other place?

  • haha thanks man. it was with campion for music 158

  • awesome, i didn't even know they had that class. shows how clueless i was! /am.

  • Dude, that's incredible! :)

  • cool idea

  • talking about something cool

  • VERY NICE INDEED; i guess you passed!

would like to see a link to the patch

  • QUE PATETICOOOO

  • nice

  • Oh my god! you could be the third member in daft punk!

  • mate .. this is fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh my god not only could i not peel my eyes away from the screen it actually sounded damn good.

    Major props man.

now i am tempted to do this myself xD

  • MOST EPIC GUITAR!

  • sick, dude. keep it up.

  • tat looks like fun!!! yo tell do a vid on how to do this!!

    i would lov 2 do this!! =)

  • This is epic

  • how do you do that? please make a vid on how! woul appreciate it! XD

  • respect

  • baaldi can you see he ghave lots of guitarrs behind him so i think he can play guytar noob retard baaldi !!! leav this chat ffs

  • What are you trying to say master monkey?

  • Great use of content.

  • hey man how did you get the whammy bar to pick up in max? i am using the hi object and it doesnt seem to pick up the whammy bar using the same controller.

  • hmm...not sure what to tell ya. It's not any different than parsing the input from the buttons. If you print the output from the hi object you should see a stream of numbers when you move the whammy bar. and make sure the controller is registered as the harmonix guitar controller, and not the xbox 360 one.

  • yeah mine is too. i have the ps3 version. i wasnt getting any values from it with the object out of print. if i give you my email can you send me the patch?

  • yeah totally

  • stfu

he did this for a computer music and thought this was cool and may be making alot more money makin daft hero or some thin dude

  • Dude, I have Max/MSP and I have been messing around with it for awhile. It is a lot of fun. Could you send me the patches and maps you made for this?

  • Sure. gimme your email and I'll send it

  • hey i would love the patch too! would you mind? i will send you my email in a message.

  • how in the world did u make this

  • Ha thas amazing! Now if only they had that song in Rock Band.

  • ha thats sick

  • what Max/MSP object are you using to handle the guitar controller? Im trying to get the wii guitar hero controller to work in Max but no luck yet, Can you help atall please

    thanks

  • the wii controllers are bluetooth so you have to use the object which allows blue tooth connection. they have them online if you google it. but i dont know if max 5 is updated for use with the objects yet

  • at the moment im using the TK.wii~ object but it does not seem to support any GH inputs. Do you think the object needs to be modified for it to recognize the GH controller?

  • no the wii gh controller exports the same data that normal wii controllers do. is your controller busted? does it work on your wii? try out the bluetooth objects too they let you get a little more indepth with the programing of teh controls

  • sick

  • that's sick!!!

    Nice job.

  • can u send me this program, and how do u make it so that is works with ur keyboard.

  • guessing on what the program can do, i think you can already use the keyboard, its probably a program for makin music, and he decided to show his talent, so i guess on the program itll say something like create action which may be pressing to play a sound, what he did that was clever, was somehow get the rockband guitar to work on it, this is a hunch i dun reall kno for sur

  • Thats quite interesting.

  • neat-o

  • wicked

  • damn cool man
