  • Thanks - the hardest thing is choosing which of the hundreds of T-shirts to use. Guess I'll have to make multiples... Did you use an iron-on interfacing on the T-shirt jersey material? I remember seeing you mention interfacing, but must have missed the application instructions. thanks for your response. Your videos are quite good, very inspiring and well executed.

  • @gvolle44 You're right, the hardest thing is picking which T-shirts to use! Each T-shirt is backed with a Lightweight fusible interfacing for stabilization. I used a white for light fabrics and a dark for dark fabrics. It's during this process that you can make sure any lettering on the T-shirt is straight. It's an easy step to do and very necessary to assure that the T-shirt fabric remains stable.

    Good luck and have fun!

  • Great videos. Was the backing in one piece? What was the pattern you used? I had one made for my daughter 4 yrs ago, now I'm ready to try one myself!

  • @gvolle44 Thanks for the comment! The backing was one piece of fleece. The pattern is called T-Shirt Memory Quilt and is offered by Four Corners Designs. You will have a wonderful time making the quilt!

  • Thank you for sharing this video! Love the scrapbook that is going along with the quilt! Truly one-of-a-kind, thoughtful and special gift that you created for your sister.

  • I first saw your video back in March when I "thought" about doing a t-shirt quilt for my 10 year old grandaughter. It is now October and I am ready to " sandwich" my quilt and tie it. Before doing that I wanted to see all for of your videos again. I just want to thank you so much for your wonderful explanation on how to put this together. Can't wait to see my granddaughter's reaction at Christmas. This is the first quilt I've ever made. thanks again.

  • This is amazing. You're very talented! I'm so impressed. The little scrapbook was such a cute idea, too! I bet your sister loves it!

  • Thank you so much for your kind words. My sister cried when she opened the quilt and just loves it.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the video!
