@MrJaugenya this song is about the struggle for independence of the people of Cape Verde. Funaná is one of the most traditional music of Cape Verde. It was like a taboo during the colonial period because this kind of music have strong africans roots and its expression is like a cry for freedom :D

2-Freedom is a long way, democracy is culture, funaná made the revolution and freed us from the shackles. The sons of this land fought for freedom and made history. We are sons and heirs of funaná. I left my farm, I crossed the mountains and went to Praia (the most important city in Santiago). I found tabanca, tchabeta and women everywhere and .I knew that the revolution had begun and would be until the blood run.
