@PoseidonKross2009 Maybe you like the original "Battersea" from Hooverphonic better then. I was a bit disappointed to see Kanno was more than heavily influenced by other pieces (another example: Where does this ocean go - Hyperballad from Björk). However, I still love this songs and listen to them more than to the original ones.
Fun fact, we all love Yoko Kanno right? I really do, but this song is not as original as you think. Check out the song: Battersea from an anime released in 1998, I almost couldn't tell them apart!
I remember the moment in the episode when the rogue helicopter locked onto the Tachikoma...and it spotted it just in time to spin around and keep its' occupant safe in the pod. The first clue that their A. I. had something going on! =)
I've always loved this song I'm a big fan of Yoko Kanno, but you guys need to listen to Hooverphone's song Battersea, which was created before Ghost in the Shell. I've heard it was the inspiration and model for Cyberbird. Go check it out.
Luv this song, episode 4 from the second season was the best, plus it was the only episode where u get to see both Jigabachi models. The Jigabachi is the best helicopter design ever made, imagine seeing it in real life. Man, Motoko is one tough chick, holding onto a Jigabachi so that Saito can take out the pilot without destroying the AI.
das beste Lied von ghost in the shell und das bild gefällt mir sehr gut, vielleicht sollten sie mal einen film mit grafik hervorbringen kommt sicher gut an!
@Paperpockets the beginning makes me feel like im standing on a cliff watching the sunrise since the music is epic and calming. 0:15-0:32 makes me feel like im running through the wilderness with naruto and we wish to fly so we can see everything better then we do and we fly into the sky and fly with the stars and go out into the universe to fly around the planets. 5:32-5:56 when nightfall comes and me, saya, and hagi gaze under the stars and make wishes on the shooting star showers.
your human body would better suit you here on earth. maybe one day that will be possible, but only if mankind begins to care about space exploration. nasa just finished up its final spaceflight... maybe when you grow up you could jump start the galactic revolution :b. id be on board.
@Invisiblefiyah It's not it's FINAL spaceflight, it's the last of the voyer-class flights. All they are doing is momentarily closing down the program while they improve the shuttle design for the mars project
@Paperpockets you think thats weird it makes me think of Swat officers intrupting a hanging at Port Royal in the 1700s talk about screwing with time here and were talking swt officer from like 2600 A.D.

Sorry to let you guys in on a secret, I'v got the Full GiTS OST, the song name is Cyber BARD :P <3 love all and ghost in the shell, want motoko for my self :P
This song is just wow I can see myself in a fantasy world and all in a sudden somethign happens and they need my help andIjust run and run and fight with no worries because this song gives me relaxation making me stronger lol this song is like a fighting song but at the same time relaxes you I love it and the Original version of it Battersea is reaaally good too
The song is beautiful. Everytime I hear it, I imagine a statue of an angel and in the background it's raining. Just a beautiful image. Try to imagine that. I see pure beauty to this song.
the drumming is the best part of the song!!! i love the end i just have to keep playing this song over and overr...never get tired of it...and personally i think this is better than battersea only because "Gabriela Robin" has a better vocal range and Yoko made it more pop..and with better drums...not to say battersea is bad i just think cyber bird is better and it totally fits for G.I.T.S.
The music for Mar was by Daisuke Ikeda. While cool, nowhere near Kanno-sensei tends to go. Cyberbird is but one of many masterpieces she's given us. A true musical visionary.
sexy pic and cool song. I miss this kind of trance music.

@SanguineBullet667 Japanese apparently, though it does sound similar to the Russian/Latin mashup in some of the other songs on the OST
