It seems you were 'following' him rather than looking at his racing line -- which makes turning a little uncomfortable for the inexperienced. I highly suggest tracking a car for anyone who is an enthusiast. You won't really understand how to drive your car until you track it. I would LOVE to do a rainy day track day with my A4.
is this an A4? engine note sounds more like a V8 lol

This is Beaverun - a mainly high speed course. Technical skill doesn't play much in terms of cornering and linework there.
