Actually when you say Football you really need to categorize it as American Football and European Football. European Football is really Soccer though I wish they called it just Football because that is what I go by, and American Football in my mind is a fucking pussy sport. @slnakm Taking a minute for a "cross bar challenge" isn't why they aren't winning championships. It's because when the players are 8 years old, the coaches are more concerned about winning than developing skills. There are too many bad coaches that will center their whole team around 1 or 2 athletes which causes 2 major problems...(1) the "athletes" succeed based on their athleticism alone and don't develop the skills required to succeed at higher levels (2) the rest of the team doesn't develop.

All things aside, Freddy Adu is one of the few US soccer players with world-class raw soccer skills. How that translates onto the field is a whole other conversation.

adu was too anxious to go play in europe, but i dont think he was. he was too young and not much experience and europes football is a totally different game!..he shoulda been more patient..he was doing good here in mls.

Adu is still only 20 years old, people writing him out are stupid. He had a decent year at Aris and is probably gonna make the Benfica squad. He will be playing this cycle for the USMNT.

@kalibradoboy You guys lost Ramires and Di Maria this summer to transfers and youll probably lose Coentrão too. There is space on the roster and Adu has been playing well lately. Play Adu on either wing, Im not saying hes a starter but a squad player he can be.
