That's a really awesome and impressive song you got here (too bad I don't know the original song)! You definitly have skills with dickspeed and the original SF.
The instruments combinations don't seem polished (it's a little all over the place and cacophonous), but you said you didn't start the volume control, so that's understandable.
Can't wait to see how this will turn out ; what you have now is totally fantastic. Best of success!
Damn, how many files will this be? This is nearly 11 minutes long, amirite? O.o
If I wanted to be nitpicky, while I usually like using most instruments, I'm not sure the cats were too great a choice (though I don't remember the ins and outs of the ost). If it was the best choice, my mistake, but it's always good to try and find one way of improving a song :D
Also are you doing this by ear or with a MIDI? Either way it's great so far :P
:P Well I didn't notice much wrong in the intro, so it's not too bad :D
And someone did do it with a low tempo and original sf, and with those limitations it was awesome, so when I saw this, forgetting that this is only part of Kumikyoku, I was liek "WTH, this'll be epic"... though still, this song was the one I liked the most on kumikyoku, so it'll still be great. :P
.......
I'm....... speechless.... 0___o

Much better than the one I started.

nevertheless it's awesome :P

Kumikyoku would be awesome in mario paint. It would just take forever.
I use a midi, but it doesn't emulate some parts correctly (like the intro and some transitions), so I improvise on that (I have a terrible ear >_>).
