I offer the Arya all good deeds that have ever been performed by living beings especially the beings churning in the lower realms who find it rare to be able to find the opportunity to practice virtuous acts. Please Bless my mind Arya Bhaisagyaguru so that i in turn may Bless and heal all others. This i pray. So shall it be...
To enter the path of Tantra, one have to enter the path of accumulation first. The path of accumulation is where we amass tremendous amount of merits in order to propel us through the stages of Tantra and gain real attainments as what Tantra was originally meant. Making offerings of lhari and such are excellent means to do so...
This is just so enlightening! I didnt know about the benefit of offerings to arya beings until I have watched it! How did I missed this one! Nevermind!
Fantastic explanation! This makes me what to make many, many, many, many, many parasols to my little Buddha statue. I wanna achieve Arya level!!! I never knew it could be of such profound meaning. I want to be protected by all Samsara's fears!!! I am buying my lhari / parasol from Kechara Paradise in SS2.
By offering a parasol to an enlightened being or arya being we are creating the causes to come under their protection and to achieve the arya beings enlightened level .
SamDon83: I agree with you.....I love to watch all the Rinpoche teachings here, is very fun, simple and easy to uderstand and also modern way of teaching.......I should put my name to Kechara House and join in as a member, so i can receive more teachings from Rinpoche and help out the people in the center .....
Rinpoche always used his skillful way to teach Dharma, thats why attract alot of young people to come and listen and practise Dharma.....This is very good, as Rinpoche want to benefits other by giving them the Dharma blessing......
hehe.. buddhistfollower118, yeah that's exactly... sometimes I just so grateful that I found Tsem Rinpoche's teachings on youtube... I've learned so many things... his explanations are simple, funny yet thought provoking... stays longer in my monkey brain compare if i read dharma books on my own... Thank you Rinpoche!
I remember Rinpoche told me once, when we do dharma works, thats alot of obstacles, as this is a purification stage, all our bad karma will ripen slowly, and is better to ripen it now by doing dharma work rather than sitting there doing nothing, and the collection of bad karma will become heavier and heavier, once its rippen, you may not know what will happen to you......Collection of merits now is really important to everyone and Dont WAIT....
We should do our Dharma practise now, collection of merits is very important to us now and dont wait until something happen to you then only do Dharma works, this might be too late......
Isnt it nice that you get to taste vegetarian food and promote vegetarianism at the same time you will feel comfortable coming into the restaurant not just because of the design alone but the energy generated by prayers among the Kechara members for the restaurant.
Bodhicitta and sunyata - the two essential ingredients for Buddhahood. It is not a state of mind that is beyond our reach. We can achieve it but with steadfastness and dedication in our practice. Understanding the practice is so important as it helps speed up the process to enlightenment
peissawg, yes it is possible to achieve Buddhahood, even within one life's time as I was told.. but then I don't think it is as easy as a piece of cake too.. What is Bodhicitta, what is Sunyata to a selfish being with huge ego like me? Even a 10th ground bodhisattva needs to continue practice & meditation on sunyata or the understanding of emptiness to get full enlightenment... this is from Lamrim book I read...
Ninje08, yes the journey will be long for most of us but like peissawg said, it is still within our reach... so, we must keep on trying and pushing ourselves harder and be persistent, dont lose your steam now that you already see the peak
by learning and contemplation, colection of merits and effort will is the main criteria that we should have to grow in our spiritual endeavours i.e. enlightenment
Agreed alforbuddha, to grow in our dharma practice, we need to learn by contemplation, collection of merits and making right /pure efforts. One more if I may add, purification of bad karma... hehe.. otherwise, those seeds will ripen as obstacles to us...
It is still not too late dabeisyin... but u really need to watch ur mind... and pls don't cry over spilled milk... look at what can u learn & improve from today onwards.. forget yesterrday, it had passed & u can't change it, u change change ur tomorrow by acting wisely today... so, start it right now, 1st. like Rinpoche says, learn to concern more for others... :)
That is right dabeisyin, now that you realised you have wasted a long time before, so it is even more crucial for you to practice harder.. why not for a start, after listening to each teaching from Rinpoche, sit down in a quiet place & contemplate the teachings... & analyse your actions of body, speech & mind for that day... my best wishes to you friend...
I have been to Dharma centers all over the US, and a lot of people teach Dharma, but that doesn't mean they know Dharma. I care about myself and future lives. I only want the best for myself. I am the original Dharma Princess. So there! :>
dabeisyin, we should not criticised others who took time n efforts to teach dharma... Rinpoche always tell us that... even if we don't like, we should just leave n not saying bad things to dharma teachers. When you can't grasp the dharma, it could due to lack of karmic connection with the teacher or even your lack of merits to understand it... that's why we have 84,000 dharma teachings to cater for different levels of minds...
Dear dabeisyin, it is just not too late as explained by Ninje08 and I really agree with the advice that you should push forward from now on and think more about others. I found out about Tsem Tulku Rinpoche in the internet too and I like HE teachings very much. It made me feel very comfortable after watching it. Take Care.
Karunadharma, sure there are many centers to start with but to find one that can inspired us to pursue seriously on our spiritual path, it needs karma connection... especially with the spiritual guide. I have learned Dharma for more than 20 years from many teachers; ordained or lay, Therravada or Mahayana but only after I met H.E. Tsem Rinpoche, then only I am able to see Dharma from my heart... Only your heart will know it, so don't generalised.
Another enlightening teachings from Rinpoche... yeah making offerings is not to worship... unfortunately many non-practising Buddhists and even some so-called Buddhists have mis-conception of this actions of making connections with the minds of the enlightened beings...
I rejoice...

What a fantastic explanation for making offerings to Arya beings or Buddhas. Lovely! Especially what a powerful explanation!
frozbyte23 2 years ago
What makes them an Arya?
What makes them have freedom from Samsara?
Realizing Emptiness - Wisdom
Bodhichitta - Compassion
So we are really making offerings to these qualities so we too can achieve the same qualities. Beautiful

If one brings to mind the qualities of a buddha
Or hears of a buddha's spiritual transformations,
One becomes purified through one's admiration and joyfulness.
This is what is meant by the great joy.

It's all over the world, that is not as true as you think.
If you live in the US there's a center in every major city of many traditions.
If you are fantasizing about livng with Rinpoche's students then your'e not actually looking for Dharma.
Just look around and you will find I promise!
