you can't compare these two at all, this was made by one guy, Bootfighter was made by a team, this is free, Bootfighter is retail

@vikocho123 the'yre close, but bootfighter has more modes, is more stable, has custom pilots, epic fights, gives you enough info to be prepared (like the handy dandy weapons readout), and has waaaaay better graphics, but silver knights has more bots...i think. At least they're both free :)

@vikocho123 i would get that, but there's not much difference between my version 1 and your version 3 or 4 besides the price tag. and for $20, thats 2-3 games from Good Old Games.

@sonicspeed011 not anymore. Bootfighter Windom XP is now freeware. And still gorgeous. Longhorn Windom Vista is the best. Just hit F to prove his battle superiority (hint: f is weapon 5, which is a devastating megalaser)

There is a targetting button. Check the key config in the options menu.

There is an option to record how you play in game. Later you can replay it. While replaying I recorded with Fraps.

Don't worry man the game doesn't need a powerful PC. I remember playing it back on a P3 866 MHz, 256 MB RAM and 2 MB onboard graphics.

Yes set effects to high. The game can be played with a gamepad too so that's good. While recording I was playing on a gamepad.
