Anyone enjoying this video should know that the New Zealand government, pressurised by the fishing industry, is doing nowhere near enough to save the Hector and Maui dolpins.
Three dead Hector's dolphins have been found on Canterbury beaches, two on West Coast beaches, and one on an Otago beach since December 2008 (two months since this text was posted).
There are only 7000 Hector and 110 Maui dolphin left. They are only found in New Zealand. Set net fishing is the main cause of death.
