  • Fuckin amazing.

At some point it became acceptable for musicians to have minimal skill.

Thank fuck for these guys and all the other real musicians that don't get air play on shitty radio.

  • Gino at his best,,,,,thx for the upload

  • the oz

  • Anyone who saw them at the Zoo, cheers!

(Iwonder how many times they've played there at least 4 times that I know of - if you count the weeklong engagements - 20?). Probably more - it's their Home Away From Home!

  • Some guy who looks a lot like the bassist/vocalist here keeps showing up where I work. Hmmmm, I wonder.

    Good one Greg!

  • I'm 3/4's of the way thru Greg's "Travels With My Amp". What a hoot - it's like being with him on an unbelievable journey of mayhem topped with sex, drugs & rock n' roll - a must read!!

  • I seen (one of many) them at the Great Canadian Rocky Mountain Party (Sudbury)... they played Sat. afternoon... but they should of played much later... by far one of the top bands at the event.....

  • Queeensbury Arms( Circa 78) The more they drank the better they played.

  • god i v gone to see goddo since i was 16 under age of course and the knobby was my fave i remember those old men with black pants and white shirts

  • Them was the days when life was stranger than fiction.....like the video :)

  • i was 4 and Goddo lived on the main floor and our family lived on the top flat. i went down and that was my first Rock..... and so the story began!! \m/ \m/ Still one of my favourite songs right here!!

  • The genius of Goddo is coveted by all in the know !!

  • saw them in Feb 82. One band never given its due credit

  • this was the first band i saw at the knobby under age love goddo

  • Hehe!,,,the Knobby bikers an bad stippers.

    Tonys....before they went strip club.

  • Oh yeah the Knobby!...back in the day bikers and some nasty strippers...and of course Goddo!

Tony's East, YEP...before it went strip joint.

  • We had Greg and the band at the queens. We brought them in in 76 and again in 77.

Goddo has always been one of my fav bands.

Let me remember, Greg was wearin a a black silk blouse with a red rose on the brest, black platforms with hand painted roses on them and black satin pants...Aways the showman...

  • Last time I saw Greg was at Healeys.. He was part of that amazing House Band.. was outstanding RIP Jeff and Rick

  • OOh man!......Gino really was Hendrix Canadian style!.......thanks so much for the vid.

  • A Classic show...

Rick was a great talent... guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter...

    keep it under your hat...

what a classic song... brings back memories of the GASWORKS, PICCADILLY TUBE..KNOB HILL...

    the show must go on...

    Be well, happy, and peaceful

    Bela Ray

  • its funny you mention the Piccadilly. My dad's band, Bayb, closed the club with its final show.

  • who is your dad?

i hear that Bayb is back... recording something... true???

maybe they would like some guitar licks from bela ray... a fellow guitarist from the late classic rock 70's era...

assuming they are still in the Toronto area...

    otherwise...

    be well, happy, and peaceful

    bela ray

  • @belaraymusic Ahh man do you jog the memory or what...don't forget Tony's East.

If you did'nt go see Goddo at the Knob Fri/Sat night you weren't a Scarberian lol

    Loved these guys

  • Knob Hill... ah the memories...

I remember seeing Rick Derringer at the Knob... how about that red explorer styled guitar of Rick's...

Nags Head North ring a bell?

    Mississauga Belle?

    New Shamrock...

    Queensbury Arms...

    lol...

then way back... the NICKELODEON TAVERN... and the legendary COLONIAL TAVERN...

    the list goes on....

    ah.. the memories...

  • @belaraymusic Back in '68, 69, I used to live a block from the Knob and stumbled home many a night from that good old place. I saw some of the finest TO talent there. Rose, Wilcox, Godo and on and on... back in the days where the waiters were old men with the black aprons ...lol Ahhh yes... the Knob!! what memories!

  • can t believe goddo didn t become famous , to tour the world, would be great to see a toronto band like them make it big

  • You should reopen the Gassworks!!! You lee AAron and Frank Soda...We'll all live there again.

  • Heyyy, ITS GREG!!! haha your amazing man

  • A first rate act if I ever saw one Great Band!!!

  • Easy to see by watching the videos who was the best musician/guitar player in that band JUST "GREAT MAN"

  • Thanks very much!! Under-rated tune if ever there was one.

  • always loved this tune...

  • Used to rock out at beer-bashes 1979 Joe spazze promotor ...bartin street double-rinks hamilton!!

  • he sold me guitar strings yesterday. that was fab....

  • Hey Greg:What's your relationship with Carol Pope like now?

  • I saw these guys in St.Kitts as a 19 yr.old.Greg was on stage wearing black velvet pants and was wiggling his ass as though there might be some be some poor teenage tart in the audience who might take the bait.If that wasn't enough,he repeatedly referred to himself as a rockstar.I couldn't help but thin how desperate his record company must have been to sign a, not even, second rate act like this.

  • Good god, my first ever "performance" singing along with the boys at Tony's East Scarberia while my friend rolled a fat dube in the front row was to this tune!

  • thankyou FOR THIS

  • i wouldn't mind seeing some other footage from this show myself...no idea what venue this was...

  • Greg...Thought I had sent you a copy of this show ?? If not send me your snail.
