Adela reminds me of my gramma Lala. Omg this show was the epitome of my childhood. I too am Cuban American... my favorite thing about this show is how closely it captured the spanglish that all cuban families speak.

Folks in Cali did have that experience in the '80's. It used to come on KCET Channel 28 in Los Angeles. I'm Mexican-American and I howled at this. This family could've been mine and we've been here since the early 20th Century. This is a classic!
Wow,maybe thats where I caught a glimpse of it from when I was a kid,but seeing it in Miami when we moved there was a whole different experience,recognizing different personalities of different family members,it is so funny !!gracias !

Folks in Cali did have that experience in the '80's. It used to come on KCET Channel 28 in Los Angeles. I'm Mexican-American and I howled at this. This family could've been mine and we've been here since the early 20th Century. This is a classic!
