He was very good, no question about that (he showed it in the 2nd half of 2009 when he won two races and Jenson had only one 2nd place in that time), but he was no Michael Schumacher. Even Rubens himself said many times he had equal equipment, but not the better strategy. That said, his strategies were not horrible, they were still good, just not the optimal strategy. He wasn't good enough.

I think we are looking at the 2009 F1 World Champion here. Button, sadly, looks like he had thrown away this title in qualifying here, in Singapore and Spa. I've never seen such a bad qualifier in my life especially at such a critical stage of the season. I can see him being punted out at the start and Barrichello winning to put the gap at 4 points and in Abu Dhabi qualifying Button will stutter again and he will lose the championship. Inevitable.

Sadly, Ruben seems to be stuck in the cycle that Eddie Irvine, Johnny Herbert, Juan Pablo Montoya and others were through their careers.
Good enough to race with quality teams, teammates and score points regularly, but not good enough to be world champion.
Barrichello, Irvine and Herbert being Schumacher's partner at one time or another would of had a lot to do with it sadly.

Se vc acredita que foi um estrangeiro quem fez este vídeo, vc é mais imbecil do que o sujeito invejoso que perdeu tempo fazendo essa baboseira... A verdade é que o conceito do Rubens no exterior nõa é o mesmo que ele tem aqui no Brasil. Lá fora os caras entendem de corrida por que esta é a cultura deles. congrats for the video. I'm from Brazil and somehow I still root for Rubens, I was really hoping for at least one win this year (don't think he will do it anymore)....and he can't do that, I hope he learns. 17 years in F1 and he still has a lot to learn
