holy crap, kira did the wrong thing when the impulse stabbed the freedom, the freedom was holding a beam saber, he could have used it to chop impulse's excalibar into pieces, not blocking himself with the shield

@junsengjs At that time, Kira was shocked because Arg angel was shoot , and Freedom lost left wing , only main truster and truster on the right wing ,can't hold weight of Freedom easily ,so he couldn't move as he thought like what he always do. But the real is Director wanted to show Strike Freedom ,so Freedom must be destroyed for it. XD

@MrSumimura the wings doesn't seem to have thrusters, the wings gives the Freedom HiMAT mode, which makes it agile, the absence of the wings only makes the Freedom less agile.

One more thing, gundam pilots need to remain calm to make correct decisions, if he was calm ,he would have made the correct decision to destroy impulse's excalibur or shut the thrusters, avoiding the blade, or position the shield in a position that it can redirect the blade.

@junsengjs If you observed Freedom clearly ,you would see some of wind or something that come out from freedom wings ,8 wings in the left there is wind(I'm not good in english= =) in each wing. That's what I see ,but I think he still can do like what you said. Indeed there's no one can move like Kira ,Ex when he dodged all of laser , he used wings (many wings) to control the directions , the directions that normal mobuitsuit like strike or Impulse can't do ,Freedom can do because of wings. Yes

but they have to make the problem worse until getting to a point in which they can't forgive each other... as seen on SEED and Destiny

@thetruerasengan that is the reason why soldiers fight, but not always the reason as to why the higher ups want them to. as depressing as it sounds, there are a lot of upsides to having a war, im probably going to get bashed for this lol if ur in a depression the smartest thing to do is to start a war. it creates jobs and boosts your economy and a lot of people profit. and because theres this side to it war has become kind of a necessity. major cash comes from just selling guns

Yea it was something like that. But from 01:04 to 01:07 it showed kira firing the last shot before Shinn's family died. It was something like that. Dosn't really matter, they didn't seem to make a big deal out of it in the show.
