Great scene. I love the shot as she initially walks in.............shot from the side. The lighting. The camera angle and the distance when she is talking to the older man {and caressing him with her voice and the idea "I've never liked younger men."........."He has silver sideburns and looked alot like you.} I thought this movie was frightening as hell. She was so alone and this weirdo was stalking her. So well done and well acted the whole movie. Do they make films like this anymore?
The title of the song is 'Goldfarbs Fantasy' and the soundtrack to this film was written by Michael Small. I found the record in a store in London a few years ago and have used this track a couple of times when DJing at burlesque events. Awesome stuff cheers for posting.
It is an amazing performance in an amazing film. Jane Fonda really brings the Method to the screen so wonderfully. My favorite scenes are the scenes she is with her psychologist.
jane fonda is terrible and she thinks people lick catfood. what an actress!

Best scene of the whole movie. And yes, the music completes the fantasy of the moment.

She was 34 years old when this movie came out. How old was the character supposed to be?

@nick4alex
Whose is bullying? Just because someone doesn't know the whole facts about a person doesn't make the person correcting them bad.

@outinsider
considering there is no comment from "louface"

this performance just, like, transcends comparison. it's honestly my favorite best actress winning performance ever.

One of my favorites as well! It's a performance that's so hard to describe. It's so brilliant.
oscarlover100 1 year ago
exactly! it's amazing...and for as many people who call it one of the best performances of all time, i feel like so many people also overlook it. smh

Jane Fonda did in the 70's what Brando did for actor's in the 50's, reaching a new higher level of reality in art.
