And by the way, it's nothing personal against people who say "More Cowbell!" For reals. I'm not picking on anyone, I just think that the sublime place a cowbell has in the role of making a song 'just that much better' should be done with pride, and not relegated to a cheap joke. Some people take their cowbells very seriously! It's all in good fun, and I'm actually grateful people notice it now as an important piece of drumming!

It kinda bugs me, as a drummer, that anytime someone uses a cowbell, someone always has to bring up the SNL skit with Christopher Walken, and say "More Cowbell!" Ok, it was funny at first, because it is a vastly underused percussion instrument. But now, I think drummers are going to be afraid to use it for fear of being mocked. Would someone mock John Bonham? No, because he'd probably kick you in the face if he were still alive. It's time to restore the cowbell to a place of honor!

as someone that has done the one man band thing, I truly dig the analog,but consider mixing in a salad.some unusual trigger samples perhaps? or take a 3/4 scale gtr, put ultra light strings on it and tune it up an octave, then tune a synth mod. down one octave for 0 trigger delay, might be fun for such a creative young man.
