@gomezgomas I think he means it sucked in terms of content instead of fighting. KOF's fighting is the most polished concept in the game; however the rest of the features are severely lacking. A fighting game in this time and age has to have many good options in the story, online, trials and more. That was the big reason why so many people felt that KOF XII was a letdown. Hopefully they fix things up in XIII, especially since they're bringing back Mai :D

@CrashLegend25 I liked it as it was from '96 to 2003. It had a good vertical range and could not only cancel, but counter enemy projectiles at the same time. I find it also helps him differentiate from the shoto mold.

But yeah, Yuri's ko-ou ken having a bigger range than Ryo's is straight-up BS. :(

@Lioyd1rving I know man! It's sort of like rape to Ryo! Look at Robert and Yuri! Their Koukens make Ryo's look like garbage. In AOF and KOF 94/95 he was awesome! He's still awesome, but I think the close range thing has officially died out. If Robert can do it then there's no excuse to why Ryo can't. I mean he almost reminds me of DAN HIBIKI, and that's his parody!

@CrashLegend25 That said, XIII Ryo is shaping up to be one of my favorite versions, mainly because of his badass DMs. I hope Robert eventually reverts to his 2003 incarnation; 2003 was my favourite moveset. (With XI as a close second.)

I wonder what's with SNKP's new obssesion with littering their stages with morbidly obese people. I heard KOF XII had one, and now this one has two. Now I'm not saying there shouldn't be any fat people in the background, but they could have added variety in the sizes of the people.

Aside from the stages, this game looks great. That Takuma was a beast, but Elisabeth's Tekken-style juggling combo just seems broken. 4 times in one round? That's insane.

Perhaps Elizabeth is a bit overpowered, but I still think it is alright (maybe a little damage adjustment would be great if she juggles). Personally Elizabeth is still a bit limited on the offensive side, even she gained a grab move since KOFXII, so the juggle could be seen as a compensation. Takuma to me is definitely harder to beat.

On the other hand, I'm so glad to see Kensou and Raiden. =D

Ash got that Super Turbo Guile Status on that projectile. And Elizabeth, really. They need to fix her. Make it so that she can do the super after an EX slap or something else that isn't free to set up from anything. Really, if she kicks you in the air she gets free super, up to 5 times? Not cool. That said, I think this might actually be the first KOF to ever beat out 98 and 2002. It has a shot.

Even if the players using Kyo in these matches aren't too great with him, i know what he's capable of considering the playing i've seen in some other vids; same thing with the phenomenally super charged K'. I don't see many players using Chin or Andy, for example.... maybe because they got completely F-ed this time around.

People aren't used to them but as a user of both characters, I can at least say that Andy IS a bit nerfed (guardbreak-autocombo please) but not to the point that he is less effective. But Chin, he is actually tougher here. Hey, I never thought Athena can pummel Kyo like that, but this game proves otherwise.
