  • This film was stupid....

  • uhhhh wat happened?

  • Keep pressing 4!! It tells you what you are!!!!

  • "the n sync tickets...the cap account"

  • i don't get it :s

  • wow. this looks disturbing.

  • Worst movie I have ever seen in my life...

  • i noticed how todd makes semi sequels to his previous films this is a semi sequel to welcome to the dollhouse while life during wartime is a semi sequel to happiness

  • @trueChaos23

Life during Wartime also continues the Mark character from this and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

  • @sweiland75

It's unsolvable in the sense that there isn't any 1 solution to satisfy both sides of the debate.

  • I guess I'm still pro-choice from a LEGAL perspective, but this film has really made me think about abortion way more than any extremist on either side of this basically unsolvable issue.

  • lol my favorite part of the trailer is the in-sync tickets....the cap account

  • THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME IN SO MANY WAYS!!! it's realy sad though at parts of the movie!!!! 5/5

  • This movie is confusing and bittersweet and downright funny! I love todd solondz yet often find myself doubting his sanity.

  • anyone knows the name of that song? sounds beautiful

  • the name of the song is called La La. im not sure who it is by

  • @bigwishescometru

i bet she is nina persson

  • Mark Kermode on Palindromes:

'One of the most self indulgent, pretentious, artsy pieces of nonsensical twaddle.

Give me dumb, stupid mainstream entertainment over this narcissistic whiffle any day.'

  • this movie is one of those movies you have to watch the entire thing, but at the same time, there are some brutal parts to it, like when the little boy holds up an aborted baby in a bag and they show her have sex with a 30 year old, kind of disturbing.

  • This looks thoroughly depressing, not sure if I have the heart to watch it.

  • what was the point of this movie

  • When I first saw this I thought it was a really old movie. I was shocked when I found out it was only 5 years old....great movie, in any case :)

  • song?

  • whats the song

  • I love this movie!

  • does anyone know why the mom cried a ton at the abortion place? why was she so sad about something she wanted to have happen? it seemed like something went wrong but she said to the daughter everything was fine

  • she found out that her daughter became infertile after an accident in the procedure of the abortion.

  • whaaaat? I totally missed that when did they say that?

  • they didnt really say it in the movie, you just kinda get the notion.

  • They mention that she had a hysterectomy in the background, the doctors talking.

  • @mida12 because Aviva couldn´t have another baby....the end of the film it´s disturbing since the girl is happy bcz she´ll be pregnant again...but she wouldn´t

  • booooooooo thatss gay

  • fuckin awesome movie.

It's hilariously awkward, and it makes you think.

    GO DR. DAN!

  • FUCKIN DR.DAN MOTHERFUCKERS

  • how can a comedy like welcome to the doll house go this sour. this trailer made me cry.

  • I hope you didn't actually cry,

If you did ur a pussy.

  • lol

  • i hear this movie is fucked

  • This looks so sad! :(

  • "Huckleberry" at 1:28 is played by a boy!

And i thought "she" was so cute!

  • I watched this movie 2 times. Its messed. Believe me. MESSED!

  • This movie as great, totally reccommend it

  • Todd Solondz!!! I NEED to watch this.

  • I never heard of this movie but I loved welcome to the doll house. Is this one better?

  • oh you have to see this and Happiness. This movie actually mentions Dawn as an adult. Its disturbingly hilarious!

  • top movie. love the way the lead is played by several different actors.

  • what's the symbolism of the lamb in the boat scene?

  • though my grades in english were shit i think i picked up a thing or two, the river symbolised life, with the boat drifting along it, the lamb was innocence, unawareness, that kind of thing, atleast thats how i saw it, and i could be totally wrong and just making a total twat of myself but hey lifes to short :P

  • where can i watch the movie

  • what song is that?

  • why aviva accepted this situation of course mother s advises are not the only solution but her reaction is very execive no ?

i thing it s a scary film because you haven't any solution

  • Great film. Can't help think if Aviva's mother was unusually young - those scenes of her trying to convince her daughter to have an abortion would be that much more intense.

  • this movie is effed up!

  • tell me about it, i turned this movie off the minuet they showed the little girl get laid by a 40 year old man in the hotel.

  • yeah, its so weird, yet me and my friend have rented it twice. theres like one more "sex" scene i think. its the weirdest, you should finish the movie though.

  • Comment removed

  • everyone should check it out! crazy good :D

  • goofy director. goofy movie.

  • can someone please tell me what the second song is called?

"love is near.. love is here..love is here"

  • 'Up on a cloud' by Nina Persson. Written by Nathan Larson.

  • That blind Albino is fucking scary lookin

  • What's this song called?

  • Ellen Barkin

  • wtf is this shit about? weird.

  • its a good movie

  • Ellen Pompeo?

  • This movie looks fucked up. I want to see it!

  • Was Mark really a pedophile or was he wrongly accused of being a pedophile? And who accused him of being one?

  • missy did and he wasn't a pedophile, she's just a little bitch like on welcome to the dollhouse. who tells lies.

  • I cannot stand her! When I watch WTTDH as a kid, I wanted her to get murdered

  • i havnt watch this movie i dont understand it can some1 explain.

  • "Aviva" wants to have babies. She is played by 5 or 6 different actresses.

  • not to mention a dude

  • yeah, I forgot. That was a nice touch, especially since it was after Aviva got her hysterectomy.

  • That was a neat touch symbolically.

  • does anyone know where i could watch this online?

  • if you are a netflix subscriber, this movie is available to stream directly onto your computer for free.

  • Not to be a troll... but if you are going to call the filmmaker a pedophile... get his name right.

  • Mark is crazy old!

  • Whatever this is it looks disgusting.

  • It was. Very disturbing movie.

  • This movie was so disturbing

  • not very disturbing but just deeply weird and tragic.

  • This movie is a powerful drama. That it is shocking it is meant to be that way. Lets not forget this is a tragedy what we are witnessing here. We have a young girl whose life was destroyed by the choices her parents made for her. The only thing she wanted was a baby, and that was taken away from her. A society that is concerned only with the superficial. Of course we have Catharsis in the end as in all tragedies...And that is love

  • is this sopposed to be a part 2 ...to welcome to the dollhouse? cuz thats what i heard

  • sort of a follow up...Aviva is the cousin of the late Dawn Wiener.

  • I remember seeing this moving... defiantely a "woah" kind of movie..but was well done ^^

  • i watched this, and at first the movie confused me, with the switching of the main characters. but after i got that all those people were supposed to be the same person, i got to focus on the fact that this movie was totally sad and depressing, although it was realistic

  • no just because it is a independant iflm does not mean its realistic this movie is far from realistic to normal ppl but we aren't really normal are we >?? the people who watch movies like this we can't really be defined as this... but anyway this movie isin't realistic maybe to some weird child hoes but no you may think its realistic because it isin't hollywood but really does killing an abortion doctor or doing it with a man at least 20 yrs older than you does that make it realistic?

  • i really like this movie does any one no where i can find it online?

  • I found it on mininova which searches Torrents...Such an incredible movie...he's got this ability to make you see the human "existential angst", how we try to connect with these packs of meat we call bodies and the closest we can come pales compared to what we need which is an emotional or spiritual connection.

  • Netflix under independent or if u search it but if u haven't seen welcome to the doll house u may wanna see it since this is the sequel. welcome to the doll house's on this site in segments

  • this looks depressing...

  • it is

  • My 2nd favorite Todd Solondz film.

  • Dawn was going to be in the movie but Heather Matarazzo (actress who played Dawn) turned it down. That's why she was killed off in the beginning.

  • This movie truly is magical. People can sit there and say "this is just garbage and uses children in adult situations but that doesn't make it good blah blah blha" but this film truly is great. A intricate, and beautiful story line, a good life lesson, some dark humor, REAL people as actors. Wonder film, everyone should see it, it's simply an expierience that will make you think for days.

  • What is this song?

  • Not sure of the 2nd song but I know the first song (the lalala one) is called Aviva Pastoral by N.Larson, you can download it for free on his website.

  • ... ijust saw this movie and was ttly disturbed by it.

  • someone posted somewhere that huckleberry aviva was played by a boy, it's true. He's actor Will Denton. I saw the whole movie and was kinda wondering about that. I'm not sure if there is some kind of symbolic purpose of doing that but if not how bad would it suck if you were auditioning for the part and a male beat you to it.

  • I kno the girl who is on 0:29 she goes to my skool and is my firend isnt that AWSOME!!!

  • No offence, but if you pause it she looks really creepy!

  • The other day I was on imdb and was kind of shocked to discovered that Huckleberry Aviva was played by a guy.

  • Whoa... I'm seeing heavy David Lynch influence in this film.

  • Who else was disturbed by this movie?

  • I was.

  • what the fuck?

*i watched this film wen i was lean and it was mad to watch*

i dont even think thats english.

go back to grammar school please

  • I didnt get to see the whole movie, and my sound wasnt working and there were no subtitles. so basically i had to make the story up for myself. From what ive seen it was confusing and highly strange.

But i'd love to see the whole film. I have a feeling this is one of those films everyone has seen.

Anyone know where i can watch it ?

  • What's the second song called and who's it by?

Not the 'Lala' song or 'Lullaby' or 'Aviva Pastoral' or whatever you want to call it [with the girl singing 'la la la la laaa la la la' over a score of notes] but the second one.

  • It's sad Dawn died in this film, if I was an angel I'd kiss her on the head and show her the way to heaven. R.I.P Dawn you deserved a better life.

  • This is the most fucked up movie I've ever seen. And I've seen some disturbing shit.

  • You obviously haven't seen enough. I'd say I Spit On Your Grave or Cannibal Holocaust are both way more fucked up.

  • oh really? watch oldboy.

  • This is WAY, WAY more depressing than Oldboy...to be honest, I found the ending of Oldboy almost positive...After all his hell he just wants to forget, and he does...obviously Oldboy has some REAL disturbing parts about it, but I found this one far more depressing and such in the long run...

  • 00:29 seconds scared the shit outta me what the hell is that

  • hahahah jecka. is that girl at 29 seconds albino?

  • i loved making this movie i was in it,, it wass cool to see it be put together

  • as twisted as this movie was,its was nice to see something different,im sick of the movies that come out nowadays.this movie was sad yet so amazing.

  • This was the weirdest movie I've ever seen. I hadn't read the summary of it before I watched it, so I didn't know the same girl was played by different actresses. So I was like wtf is going on? It was twisted and funny though. And twisted.

  • umm excuse me i was in this movieeeee

  • it's about time.

Tired of seeing gorgeous, cookie-cutter, boring twits in movies.

  • you must be gay then shamborn

  • I'm gay? You call yourself "Daniel"!!!

Hey "Daniel!" How are you "Daniel?"

Just call yourself "Danielle," everyone else does.

  • ok, your a fucking retard

  • Name: Daniel

    Age: 17

Hey Daniel, your mommy's calling you! Stop jerking off to AC/DC, Daniel, and go to bed!

  • god, you suck at comebacks. they don't even make sense

  • How is Daniel a name for homosexuals? How did this discussion board get on the topic of homosexuality? Damn, Mama Sunshine would be sad to hear this :)!

  • You're terrible. Beauty comes from within.

  • Kinda like you Mom, right?

  • ouch that hurts. are you mad because i don't like pale flat child whores...you probably look like that or else you wouldn't of said that.

  • Yup, I confess, thats me in the movie. I look just like that.

  • ok, that's settled

  • Not all girls are beautiful in the "hollywood" definition. I think any of the girls in this are ugly though.

Even if they were, it doesn't make this film suck. Looks don't make a good movie.

  • @AnniexCostello actually looks can make a movie. by using average people it makes it feel more real. if cameron diaz was the star of this movie it wouldnt make any sense & no one would like it. & not just because shes a bad actress and probably retarded.

  • @resisthexcept You do have a point but I think that writing, acting, directing, lighting, and score are more important when it comes to quality. A certain kind of look can assist a part greatly but if the actor is doing a horrible job, the role will have much less of an impact on the audience or the role will be ruined all together. It won't matter about how much he or she looks the part.

  • What's the song playing from the middle to the end?

  • This song was specifically created for Solondz' film. "Up on the Clouds" was made for Palindromes as well as the "La La Song."

  • That movie confused the hell out of me the first time I saw it.

  • You're an idiot, it's not that complicated!

  • Yes, but I was about 12 or so when I saw it. Im not saying it wasnt a good movie, I just didnt fully understand it at the time.

  • What kind of parent lets their kid watch ANY Solondz movie? Seriously...

  • My friend's. lol

  • At least you got to see it :)! I would watch it again, if I were you... It's a pretty good movie, it's really pretty straight-forward, too. Be advised, this movie surpassed the NC-17 rating, so...

  • Maybe ones who don't underestimate the maturity of their children... or don't care.

  • So you're 15 now?

  • nope I just had a Bday :] ...but I'm not 16 either lol

  • another uplifting film by Todd Solondz. the man

  • I think I am in love with Todd Solondz <3!
