In my own home city the transformation of the local cuisine from boring Anglo food to an international food hub has been fantastic. Immigrants have brought a wealth of information which has opened up trade worth billions, and their labor has contributed further billions. Best of all it has brought an end to parochial attitudes and made us better citizens of a wider world.
