One major problem - Moore DID meet with Smith and lied about it in his movie because it made a better story. This is a fact that was printed in Money magazine in 1990. In the Australia and the UK there is a 15% right off the top income tax which pays for the national health. There are no deductions for this tax. Someone earning the equivilent of $12,000US a year pays 15%, and Richard Branson(billionaire founder of Virgin Records and Virgin Atlantic Airways) pays 15%, and nearly no one complains. The quality of care is better than in the US, and far better than in Canada where insurance companies are managing the national health.
