I used Chain, and welded it together so it was a solid line, some with a bolt in the middle so i could take out the engine if i want to. i put the mounting bolts through the end link of the chain, then welded the other end to the frame, had to cut the headers and re-weld them to fit around the front of the frame. changed to a bigger chain and sprocket. so really not much, just cut off original mounting brackets from frame, 650 has great power for this bike. same hp as 1300 Vtwin
Like how you did with the forward controls I have an 83 CX650 that I want to do that to.
