I notice in American Idol competition that Carrie was the only contestant who did not "beg" for votes as did all other contestants. Carrie just wanted to sing her way through college as a practical thing to do before entering the workforce, according to her. This, I think, is Carries secret. I know of one boxing champion who, at first, boxed so as to have money to buy food and like Carrie experienced a pleasant surprise of his life!!!

The contestant, as Ryan is announcing, makes faces, waves to the camera, and signals his number. Carrie, unlike all other contestants, stay beside Ryan just smiling.

Of all the seasons, Carrie was easy one to decide. She was the winner of that year from day one of that year. Bo was a distant second.  From what other contestants said that year. Everybody knew she was going to win. The only person, who didn't think that way was Carrie herself.
