  • What does he say at :18? Can't understand him.

  • I have had the great pleasure of playing with Russ since 1970. He is a gift to a bass player. Pocket is smart and deep. His groove is as deep as the Grand Canyon. Still playing all the time beyond all that his son is one of the finest engineer/ producers around and his daughter is an up and coming artist.........Leland Sklar

  • Sorry, still can't get it. I get the 36 second instructional video but not the 22:14 video.

  • @wormtownpaul The page is up and running on our ivideosongs-dot-com website. I'm unsure how else to help you other than to suggest going to our "ivideosongs-dot-com" and look up the song you want to learn.

  • It's tricky to get such full tone from the toms using brushes like that!

  • That is just beautiful drumming.

  • i love russ kunkel man. hes great!

  • what is so speacial about this..? yeah, nice bit of plying but why is it on here?

  • @varukerbrains Its on here cuz the guy's a legend in pop music and in the session world, also its an ad for this video channel/lessons.

  • richard kunkel, carlos vega, then steve gadd.......all JT's drummers

  • @IrishDaddi Russ Kunkel not Richard kunkel

  • @blutocampbell yes i meant Russell

  • he was james taylor's 1st drummer back in the early days

  • pure class a man playing with so much feel this cannot be taught or faked

any kid will say "ye thats simple" but you wont find any old kid recording with james

    cheers dude x

  • @TheFreemanuk its the simplicity of it that makes it so great. its just... POCKET!! :)

  • I like to see a drummer who is relaxed at the kit. So many look like they are constipated, all stiff armed and clenched teeth. Thanks for the video series. The main website is worth the look and time.

  • i love the way u play all the track russ

  • nice kit and sound

  • Cool. Thanks for the nice comment.

  • Russ- I heard Doctor My Eyes in a movie theatre, and really noticed what you were doing. The way you jazzed up the chorus - and the bogos- man you just made that song so much better than it even was already. Thanks
