I'm English and he's IMPROVED since he joined LA. And it's impressive how the sport is rising in the States. I don't want him to go to some Italian team and get injured by some long haired idiot from a crap team that plays in front of 5,000 fans, because Serie A only has about four very good teams, the rest are far worse than MLS teams. Right now there is just not the money or prestigue to bring the biggest names to MLS. There is a strong, fast growing soccer fan base in the US but it is overshadowed by Football, Baseball and Basketball. The EPL, for instance, makes a lot more moeny per game than the MLS.

Soccer is getting bigger but it will take some time for MLS to grow. The fact that the US national team is making great strides forward will help MLS. Plus stars like Donovan.
