where have all the proper brass band programmes gone? that band for Britain is nonsense, and yet is the first prog in years..... perhaps a brass band should enter X-factor or Britain's got talent? sadly this seems the only way to get attention these days since the nation seems to have the attention span of a gnat and the artistic horizons of a deaf badger......
Howard Snell, is it? What an absolute legend... I just love hearing the top cornet and trumpet players play, such finesse and evocative sound. Very nostalgic too, I kinda miss playing. Although I'm so bad now, I don't know if I have the nerve to practice!
The Richard Strauss piece gets my voice gets my vote for "Most Musical".
