Alan Colmes proves once again that he needs to be saved by the grace of God.
He is ever the spokesperson for immorality and deception and that is why Fox News keeps him on. His misinterpretations and lack of understanding help to reveal the truth of what Hannity is saying. P.S. I am also pray for Sean to be saved.
Praise the Lord that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Even if you don't believe in him, I promise you one day you will see that he loves you and made you! don't find out too late!
@FuckUtube2008 - The lack of oxygen. Shes lucky she came out as good as she did, and I mean that in the most non-mean kind way. I always wondered what a aborted person would say. Now I know.
@JHandcock1111 you're absolutely right, she is lucky, it is an absolute miracle that she is as well as she is. I feel for her through this interview; the guy on the right just kept arguing her down so she couldnt' get a word in edge-ways. Wow, he must have a lot of faith in your own argument if your only defence is to keep the 'opposition' from actually talking! abeli508 is right, it's all about money. Shame on Obama for this.
I am a pro-life atheist, of course I wouldn't be here if it weren't FOR abortion because my mother wanted to have two children and she wasn't ready to take care of the second born child, I was her third born child.
This is truly an amazing woman. She obviously has a purpose in this life for overcoming all these trials. God must have a plan for this incredible woman.
Alan is such a typical liberal. Since we're losing the argument, let's change the subject to some irrelevant obscure detail! Is he not affected at all by Gianna's miraculous story? It doesn't matter if there was a law in place in Illinois that supposedly would have protected her; Obama obviously votes against saving such babies, and as president I don't think he'll limit himself to just the state of Illinois anymore.
Abortion is such a big deal what about the millions of straving kids, or the kids with sickness. Or the millions of kids being emotionally/psychically abused. . or the kids in bad foster homes.. Or the kids who have little money to even afford school supples or toys. What about the kids getting faulty educations or the kids being bullied all over the world. Why don't we talk about these kids and do something about it? Instead of the unborn. It's rather sickening.
your just a sick person thats all. if someone is poor lets just kill them.i was in a foster home for 5 yrs of my life, but if it was up to you, you would of have me killed
Actually, you want to try and guilt me about I would have let you be killed. I lost my baby sister to abortion, not that would have you killed.I understand SOME women have certain mental and medical issues that can happen to inflict on a living womans right. I don't believe it in it as a form of birth control.
Don't people understand before we legalized abortion, women ripped babies out of them 7-9 months with coat hangers, and by swallowing very dangerous chemicals in to their systems. I think if someone wants to abort their baby, go for it. People have the self-choice, but sadly goverment likes having control on wrong and right. When it's really not their right to tell other people what to do, when it's not them living that person[s] life. Pathetic. Everyone is different, so stop pressuring us.
It's not even an argument. Let me explain you how, since you guys think it's something to bicker over. If a girl gets pregnant [ choice, or not. ] it's inside her body. . she has to deal with it. Now. . you have two opitions. . You can let the woman take a coat hanger and rip it out of her body. . and then send her to jail like you would if she tried to commit suicide. [ which is also pathetic that suicide is illegal if failed attempted. ] I'm not pro-life or pro-choice.
I believe each human has a right over their own body. . saying that i'd have to agree with abortions. Also, the reason I don't disagree with abortions is that we have enough children in foster home[s] and adopted out. We don't need more onto of the millions who need good families and homes. I'm glad this girl got to live normally [ if this is truth. ] However, her saying she wouldn't have been here. . is false. She's alive, if she wouldn't have suppose to be here, god would have let her day.
You just negated your own argument. If each human has a right over their own body, then that goes for the children, too. That line of reasoning wont pan out for you. And God doesn't condone murder or cause it. People do.
God " is not " proven real or unreal. So literally speaking as he is a person, when he is mostly fiction. . makes you about as insane as the next person. However, we do not know if there is a god or not. God does condone murder. God created the universe and created humans. . he created murder and he created the ability to create abortions or bring the subject to the human mind. God gave us " choice " in opinion but he created life and death. . there for he has control over it.
I don't have an argument. I'm looking from my own opinion if I was pregnant. . I would probably die from either my brain rupturing from overdue of stress, or i'd probably go mentally insane due to the pain. But, i'm not going to stop having sex with my boyfriend in order to please pro-lifers if they protection we use fails out of the 1/100.000 chance to risk my health and my life for a child who would be better off with the millions of children straving to not have to live this life.
Or atleast god says when it's time to die, and a person dies. So every aborted baby who is aborted is aborted for a reason.
Just like every murder in genocide or war, every person who suicides, and every perosn who dies of random accidint and/or medical condition.
God controls life and death, we do not. There for to say you are christian, you will say abortion is god[s] doing. It's been in every bible for over 300,000 years from every culture. Including the book of the dead.
Way to hit the nail on the head. I don't see the difference between people doing an abortion on themselves when it was illegal or after Roe v. Wade when it became so. Abortion still hurts women physically, and it still ends lives. Period. We don't want it legal anymore because of the shame of having our government support such a travesty. Yes, women may still attempt abortions themselves if it becomes illegal, but the government would not be condoning such acts.
Per factcheck d ot org: "An anti-abortion group is running an ad featuring a woman who says she survived a failed abortion and that "if Barack Obama had his way, I wouldn't be here." She's wrong. If she'd been born in Illinois, Illinois law would have protected her with or without the "born alive" legislation that Obama opposed"
There were several attempts of the bill, last one did have same lang as Fed bill but wasn't needed... the protection already exists.
Its 2008 and I was almost killed by an abortion at a world-renowned women's medical center in PA. I was ignored and pushed away after the procedure. Its all about money. When its said and done the "women's rights" don't matter anymore. What about my right to live? I almost lost that right because of my "freedom of choice." Another thing that is hypocritical about this industry: you'll be charged with two counts of homicide if you kill a pregnant female but its okay to abort. Makes sense, right?
~~~~~~~~~~~ Money?? LOl, there is NO money in abortion. At approx $500, compared to births today at over $10,000.we KNOW where the money is, so why dont docs stop aborting to get THAT money?? Youre an idiot
@abeli508 says: you'll be charged with two counts of homicide if you kill a pregnant female but its okay to abort.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thats because NO ONE has the right to take the life of a fetus but the owner of it...the mother.. you take HER right away, you committed a crime.
"The irony of this is, we enact laws to protect live-birth abortions, then we send our sons and daughters off to Iraq to be maimed and killed."
Really? We're sending our sons and daughters off to Iraq so that they might be maimed and killed? I thought we were sending them there to make Iraq a free and secure nation, and that in their battles with the opponents of this goal, a number of our sons and daughters have been maimed and killed.
What happened to the WMDs, and the non existant Al Queda ties with Hussein?
If the Bush administration believes so strongly in democracy abroad, why did he turn a blind eye to the genocidal acts that were perpetrated against the South Ossetian citizens, by the US backed Georgian President, Saakashvili?
Instead, he accused Russia of using inappropriate force in its response.
And I suppose you we're all in arms about the Chechenya wars, even though its only 'crime' was wanting independence from Russia.
Also, the US government as a whole (because of the War Powers Act a POTUS can't attack at will) based its decision to attack Saddam also on information stemming from Putin's intelligence. Did Putin also 'lie'?
But really, all this has nothing to do with the video.
I guess a part of the Bush Doctrine should be, do as I say, not as I do. To this day, we continue to violate Pakistan's sovereignty with with attacks on their soil.
There is also hypocrisy in supporting and recognizing Kosovo's independence from Serbia, but refusing to do the same for Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Chronologically Chechenya was first so in a sense Russia started all this.
Pakistan: it depends on the agreements between the US and Pakistan, it may entail a engage & pursuit-clause or smth (in International Criminal Law treaties there often is). But yes, if there aren't, it would be a violation.
Thing is, Obama REPEATEDLY called for attacking Pakistan in the Senate, it was one of the reasons he opposed the attack on Saddam as Taliban/9-11 r in Pakistan.
I agree that our conversation diverged from the videos point. The point I was initially trying to make is that the sanctity of life should be cherished not only at conception, but also before being committed to war, under what many believe to be false pretenses.
Im so tired of this "straw argument" when it comes to the subject of abortion.
Correction...... We do not "SEND" our children to Iraq. They enlist, therfore volounteer. God bless them all for they don't have a choice in what wars they might fight.
If you want to btch about the war, do it somewhere else.
We don't send our children to iraq, however we are get them worthlessly shot for no importance to us.
How do you say they enlist to serve their country. . our country was never attacked. Even after that we got the guy, what do we say for staying longer for " false " weapons that you can find via-heat seaking. . and infernal sattelite scans. I mean, get realistic here. . England, Russia, Germany, and even Japan/China said there was no reason to be there.
Iraq had WMD and it was paase to Syria. you don't know the kind of hatred the middle east has for USA. And seriously? we were never attached? may be the world trade centers were in Iraq not in NY?
Do you not know how many other of millions of people in every country in the world hate the USA. . Even people in our own country? 9/11 is a sorry excuse for terrorism. A person dies every second, it's nothing new. We've killed 100s of people in a country we should no longer be in and us calling our soliders honorable for giving their life for nothing. I suggest you start researching before trying to argue which is which. If the world trade centers were in Iraq no one would have even cared.
Where is the morality in denying a survivor of botched abortions medical treatment? I commend liberals who think that life on earth is all there is - but why would you deny an infant of the same life? I would have nightmares for the rest of my life if I knew my child survived an abortion, and a dr. strangled it. It reeks of Hitler's regime.
I would hope that the 24 years I spent in the military that we as soldiers and sailors not only fought and died for freedom, but the right to life and hope for all human beings...
Gianna is an inspiration and a beautiful human being, god bless her always and those who fight for injustice in our world.
Call me crazy - but there seems to be a true genetic disconnect between these liberals who do not value life it is not perfect and Christians who have been given grace for embracing our own "cross". There are many times when I wander how secular atheist liberals get their strength - I for one would not have survived life without my faith. Not only have I survived various physical and emotional hardships, I have peace with them and wouldn't trade my experiences and wisdom for anything.
4Liberty, like most Christians, you seem to think that secularists, atheists or rationalists (I prefer the latter term) are devoid of morals. On the contrary. We might disagree on when and where life actually starts, but I value life as much as you do, maybe more. I'm just interested in the short and imperfect one I'm living now, as it's the only one I have. Since I don't go around thinking wrongs will be righted in another life, I try to make this one the best possible. That, to me, is moral.
Before anyone accuses me of having nazi ideals, let me state that I am not trying to imply that we should rid the world of all its "imperfect" beings. Like cancer, AIDS, Parkinsons, etc., cerebral palsy is a terrible disease and we should be looking for a cure instead of pretending that it's all part of God's plan. What is it with Christians and suffering ? Why does a life of pain and misery seem like a worthy ideal to you? I'm not trying to insult your faith, but I really don't get it.
Thanks for your politeness SoNickPick, it seems to be a rarity on YouTube.
First of all, there are many different forms of Christianity, each with their own distinctive theology. But mostly it runs like this: the world is now imperfect and so people shouldn't expect life to BE so, but strive to make both as perfect as possible. Diseases etc. are just a part of life, and at a certain point you have to accept that reality. This doesn't mean you SEEK OUT to suffer, but are willing to accept it.
Thank you Peter for that thoughtful answer. As you say, there are different forms of Christianity. Although I now consider myself an atheist, I was baptized under the Roman Catholic rituals and went to a Catholic high school where I was tought that martyr priests tortured by the heathen "Injuns" should be revered as heroes. Christian history is filled with tales of suffering (starting with Jesus, the ultimate martyr) and the older I got, the more disconnected I felt from this culture of pain.
I understand the need for people who suffer to find some meaning to their life. Maybe it makes the pain easier to bear if you think that your disease is all part of God's plan. But when you consider life threatening diseases as a gift from God, or when you oppose the advancement of science on religious grounds, as witnessed during the stem cell research controversy, you lose me. Life is way too precious. That's a matter of fact, not a matter of faith.
For a minute there you were making sense...but you fell into a liberal talking point. The only kind of stem cell research being opposed by the pro-life crowd is embryonic stem cell research, which requires the destruction of human life to conduct. And it so far has had zero efficacy. Compare this to morally acceptable cord blood stem cell research and adult stem cell research which has had efficacy.
cllewis1, you just proved my point. The fact that no actual cure has been found through embryonic stem cell research has a lot to do with the opposition it has encountered from religious groups. Your statement about "zero efficacy" is completely wrong. But the important thing is that embryonic stem cells come from the blastocyst, which is a merely a cluster of cells that have a long way to go before becoming human. Also, we don't have do destroy the blastocyst to use the cells.
The stemcell research controversy isn't about the cells themselves but where they come from. The (more succesfull) 'adult' stemcells are no moral problem, harvesting cells from killed or even specifically bred people is to many people. Where sex-ed is concerned, we all know where babies come from; it has always amazed me how basically suddenly 'the stork brings babies' as soon as the right to life of people in their first living phases is concerned.
Here's a bit of info from the National Institutes of Health (NIH): "Embryonic stem cells are derived from embryos that develop from eggs that have been fertilized in vitro—in an in vitro fertilization clinic—and then donated for research purposes with informed consent of the donors. They are not derived from eggs fertilized in a woman's body." No moral issue for me here and the very real possibility of curing diabetes, parkinsons an other diseases.
Basically this is breeding humans to experiment on, it's just that no sex is involved. Humans, as they wouldn be less interesting if their DNA said 'pig'.
So far no real results despite all the time and money that has been put in it. However, admitting this would put a stop to all the grants etc. involved, and we academics don't like to admit we're on a wrong track because we think we have to look infallible. It's easier to get money+public support when you say 'I'm curing cancer' etc.
While I agree that experiments on adult stem cells have yielded more promising results, I think it would be foolish to completely drop research on embryonic stem cells because it hasn't fulfilled its promise yet. But you have just hit the nail on the head, PeterHaroldErickson: our main point of dissent is when a human being actually becomes one. To me, a blastocyst is not a person. To be or not to be? (...) aye, there's the rub!
Yes, it's the same problem the abolitionists faced with their objections against slavery, it's just more convenient to ignore the human nature of the ones talked about. The 'mighty-morphin' view is sadly more prevalent than the scientific one of recognizing the earlier phases of one's life (not to get personal: we we're both ''just blastocysts', too) as just that, phases. Personally I hold the view that laws should protect the weakest party, and in this setting the little child certainly is.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm sorry, but I'm having a real hard time taking her arguments into consideration. Anyone who considers cerebral palsy as "a gift" has some very strange (bio)ethics. As with the stem-cell research question, we need more bio-ethicians, philosophers and doctors debating this issue, which has been hijacked by religious fundamentalists of all stripes.
The gift of cerebral palsy and life is better than not having cerebral palsy and being dead. Is it getting any easier to understand now or would you rather her be dead?
Seriously...a "normal" guy like me gets upset over minor things...my 3-yr-old acting like a 3-yr-old, my wife not folding the laundry...yet so often the folks among us who have some infirmity or other have a joy of life in spite of it...puts me to shame.
She probably considers it a gift because it has given her such an amazing persective on life. There are more important things than being perfect physically. Let her call it a blessing if she wants, good hell you insensitive liberal pile of dung.

This is the reason we allowed abortions in the first place. The "problem" came from liberals who think they should play GOD.

Even after that we got the guy, what do we say for staying longer for " false " weapons that you can find via-heat seaking. . and infernal sattelite scans. I mean, get realistic here. . England, Russia, Germany, and even Japan/China said there was no reason to be there.
So they enlisted themselves to die.

Iraq had WMD and it was paase to Syria. you don't know the kind of hatred the middle east has for USA. And seriously? we were never attached? may be the world trade centers were in Iraq not in NY?
lakers956 3 years ago

I never thought our country would get like this.

4liberty4ever 3 years ago 2
4Liberty, like most Christians, you seem to think that secularists, atheists or rationalists (I prefer the latter term) are devoid of morals. On the contrary. We might disagree on when and where life actually starts, but I value life as much as you do, maybe more. I'm just interested in the short and imperfect one I'm living now, as it's the only one I have. Since I don't go around thinking wrongs will be righted in another life, I try to make this one the best possible. That, to me, is moral.

She is such an amazing person..... most folks can't and will never understand her and what she stands for.
JOELW999 3 years ago
Before anyone accuses me of having nazi ideals, let me state that I am not trying to imply that we should rid the world of all its "imperfect" beings. Like cancer, AIDS, Parkinsons, etc., cerebral palsy is a terrible disease and we should be looking for a cure instead of pretending that it's all part of God's plan. What is it with Christians and suffering ? Why does a life of pain and misery seem like a worthy ideal to you? I'm not trying to insult your faith, but I really don't get it.
SoNickPick 3 years ago
SoNickPick, It's a matter of faith. I don't think you can understand.
Baraka182 3 years ago
Thanks for your politeness SoNickPick, it seems to be a rarity on YouTube.
First of all, there are many different forms of Christianity, each with their own distinctive theology. But mostly it runs like this: the world is now imperfect and so people shouldn't expect life to BE so, but strive to make both as perfect as possible. Diseases etc. are just a part of life, and at a certain point you have to accept that reality. This doesn't mean you SEEK OUT to suffer, but are willing to accept it.
PeterHaroldErikson 3 years ago
Thank you Peter for that thoughtful answer. As you say, there are different forms of Christianity. Although I now consider myself an atheist, I was baptized under the Roman Catholic rituals and went to a Catholic high school where I was tought that martyr priests tortured by the heathen "Injuns" should be revered as heroes. Christian history is filled with tales of suffering (starting with Jesus, the ultimate martyr) and the older I got, the more disconnected I felt from this culture of pain.
SoNickPick 3 years ago
I understand the need for people who suffer to find some meaning to their life. Maybe it makes the pain easier to bear if you think that your disease is all part of God's plan. But when you consider life threatening diseases as a gift from God, or when you oppose the advancement of science on religious grounds, as witnessed during the stem cell research controversy, you lose me. Life is way too precious. That's a matter of fact, not a matter of faith.
SoNickPick 3 years ago
For a minute there you were making sense...but you fell into a liberal talking point. The only kind of stem cell research being opposed by the pro-life crowd is embryonic stem cell research, which requires the destruction of human life to conduct. And it so far has had zero efficacy. Compare this to morally acceptable cord blood stem cell research and adult stem cell research which has had efficacy.
cllewis1 3 years ago
cllewis1, you just proved my point.
SoNickPick 3 years ago
The stemcell research controversy isn't about the cells themselves but where they come from. The (more succesfull) 'adult' stemcells are no moral problem, harvesting cells from killed or even specifically bred people is to many people. Where sex-ed is concerned, we all know where babies come from; it has always amazed me how basically suddenly 'the stork brings babies' as soon as the right to life of people in their first living phases is concerned.
Basically: MEANS of advancement matter.
PeterHaroldErikson 3 years ago
Here's a bit of info from the National Institutes of Health (NIH): "Embryonic stem cells are derived from embryos that develop from eggs that have been fertilized in vitro—in an in vitro fertilization clinic—and then donated for research purposes with informed consent of the donors. They are not derived from eggs fertilized in a woman's body." No moral issue for me here and the very real possibility of curing diabetes, parkinsons an other diseases.
SoNickPick 3 years ago
Basically this is breeding humans to experiment on, it's just that no sex is involved. Humans, as they wouldn be less interesting if their DNA said 'pig'.
So far no real results despite all the time and money that has been put in it. However, admitting this would put a stop to all the grants etc. involved, and we academics don't like to admit we're on a wrong track because we think we have to look infallible. It's easier to get money+public support when you say 'I'm curing cancer' etc.
PeterHaroldErikson 3 years ago
While I agree that experiments on adult stem cells have yielded more promising results, I think it would be foolish to completely drop research on embryonic stem cells because it hasn't fulfilled its promise yet. But you have just hit the nail on the head, PeterHaroldErickson: our main point of dissent is when a human being actually becomes one. To me, a blastocyst is not a person. To be or not to be? (...) aye, there's the rub!
SoNickPick 3 years ago
Yes, it's the same problem the abolitionists faced with their objections against slavery, it's just more convenient to ignore the human nature of the ones talked about. The 'mighty-morphin' view is sadly more prevalent than the scientific one of recognizing the earlier phases of one's life (not to get personal: we we're both ''just blastocysts', too) as just that, phases. Personally I hold the view that laws should protect the weakest party, and in this setting the little child certainly is.

Pain is common in life. What caused Gianna's palsy?
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Sure, you don't "get it".
slyputz 3 years ago
Gianna's palsy was caused by the damage that occurred during the attempted abortion.
cllewis1 3 years ago
I think she meant that God is still able to use her despite her infirmity.
The Bible says at Romans 8:28 that NOTHING can separate a person from God's love.
BTW, I have a relative with CP, so I am not just theorizing.

SoNickPick 3 years ago
God's grace is seen through suffering, and Gianna Jessen gets that. Hopefully you will someday too.
