  • this is not taekwondo, it is hapkido ._.

  • Taekwondo is great for basic martial arts (not just Olympic sparring), it teaches stances, blocks, strikes and kicks, balance, coordination, flexibility and breath control. once you have learned the basics (colored ranks) you become a black belt. black belts then continue on to Hapkido, Yusool, etc. to learn more complex combos of the basics plus adds ground fighting, close quarters combat and the 'real' martial arts. black belt is not the end, but the true beginning for a real martial artist!

  • why not call it jeet kune do? or mma?

  • Hello Sir, I'm a TKD student/ass.instructor, 1st Dan black belt. However I do sport TKD, not the martial art, and never really looked at the differences between the two, could you please explain them to me please?

  • @xxxMelodyOfDawnxxx Difficult to question to answer. If you training WTF Taekwondo, you must be practise Martial arts relating sports. WTF TKD develop as a olympic sports. Martial arts is reality base training. when we standing in the street, we experience lots of punching, elbow, knee, Grappling situation. so we don' t have to limitation our style. Wathching my other video, (playlist - Tutorial, sparring instruction series...) Thanks for comment!

  • @expertkbs

okay, I understand now, thank you sir! I really appreciate it :)!

And yes, I'm training for WTF, not ITF.

  • This is exactly how my tkd teacher is. We do the real sutff full contact not sport.

  • i love how he is a tkd teacher but mixes it up. I think everyone who is a martial artist should have a ground system

  • Its good to see a TKD instructor mixing it up. Wish more dojangs did this...then maybe I'd still consider training in it.

  • This master is the real deal! I bow to you! :)

  • can you make a video on kick control? i love how you're able to just switch, stop, and continue your kicks,

  • buen video y un buen maestro, seria un gran honor que diese clases en el gimnasio de taekwondo al que voy, el nivel del maestro es superior. FELICIDADES.

  • Wow. You are obviously a real fighter of very high skill. I am now a huge fan! Too bad you don't teach in Maryland... TT_TT

Great stuff!!! I love seeing REAL martial artists ^^

  • Very nice teaching! Beside competition kick-only fighting it is usefull to know puch defence. Take this Muai Thay haters !

  • I WANT LEARN THIS SHIT !! :(

  • so many tkd dojangs are watered down. I've not found one that I fully trust since the last one closed shop. What I would give to have someone like this man in my area!!!

  • @expertkbs The grappling you are using is hapkido right.

  • @TheShinobi32 hapkido and ju-jitsu as well.

  • @expertkbs I new you were using hapkido because i know the differences between hapkido and taekwondo and you are wearing a hapkido gi and hapkido uses way more grappling than taekwondo it uses way more moves period.

  • No, not ll striking arts are not similiar. Old Tai Chi is viscious and lethal, as is Pakua, and not similar to TKD. They use the more powerful palm stike much more often and they are not a sport in any way. As Tai Chi says, when he moves in, I move in and attack dim muk points, and never back up.

    James

  • its a traditional form of taekwondo rite? all striking arts are so similar

  • yes this is an excellent video demonstrates very well how little energy a true master uses....they dont need too they have the experience..my husband is also a 4th dan master in a very very similar looking art

  • yes this is an excellent video demonstrates very well how little energy a true master uses....they dont need too they have the experience..my husband is also a 4th dam master in a very very similar looking art

  • Tanks master.

  • What a wonderful Master =O

  • wow smaller than you guys, and making you look like fairy's LOL!! He's dangerous!!

  • A rare sight, watching a master at work

  • I wanna learn from this guy

  • Such a good video lol

  • Is that tawkwondo or hapkido?

  • why are all the good schools in japan? cause there the best obviously....

  • Very Good Video!

  • in their style. Most pple who got a taste or two on some martial art thing tend to criticize that TKD have all showy but useless fighting style. But that maybe partly right, but once you get a proper instructor, you can change a little bit of your preconception about TKD.

  • In the first part of this video, this teaching style has nothing new in regular TKD sparring class.

You can see so many skillful and trained masters in the field who are teaching effective TKD sparring. And they take much importance in keeping the balance in your every movement. and also emphasize on uselessness of lavishing high side kicks and round kicks. Most of the instructors all know better than doing some old style two-foot fencing. Also they always pursue the accuracy and power.

  • this a true Master! he is not in rocky mount NC thats for sure.

  • that intercepting kick was basically a Bruce Lee technique. This Master surely studied well.

  • fuckin' awesome! love it

  • Best TKD i seen yet.. In Australia??

  • @SudoJudo1 Yes he is, he's in Kogarah

  • Finally someone making TKD more practical. Thanks.

  • Great instruction.

  • he isn;t necessarily \using hapkido. true tkd does have takedowns and joint locks although most are focused on the arms joint and not the legs. that past may be hapkido.

  • @ajwall1

open your mind! We need to practise anything good for complete your Martial Arts system.

  • @expertkbs my mind is open. and I'm not speaking against hapkido, my grandmaster learned hapkido to make his hand to hand fighting better and another master of mine taught me some hapkido as well as tkd hand to hand. I was simply stating that true tkd does have more to offer than just kicks. I love seeing tkd practitioners that can grapple as well. you are a good master.

  • not gonna lie i find it very cool that this is actual practical full contact tkd you don't encounter much of that most times

  • My master goes bang bang bang to :P

  • this is hapkido master that teach to tkd guys

  • this is real taekwondo, show this to the tkd haters MORONS

  • Your kicks are so amazingly fast.

  • Are you Traditional Chund Do Kwan teacher or are you a sport Teacher?

  • @NARUTOVIDEOMAKER4LIF

I am not. I love TKD as Martial Arts.

  • @expertkbs I see.

  • this style seems more like military tkd. my master was trained that way. he trains us in wtf style i wish to learn the more aggressive style like you showed. looks like you also incorporate hop kiddo?

  • Gostei das técnicas de Sparring!!! Sou faixa Vermelha escura em Taekwondo a muitos anos no Brasil, e sou fanático pelas técnicas de chutes dessa arte.

I enjoyed the sparring techniques! I'm dark red belt in Taekwondo many years in Brazil, and I am a fanatic for the kicking techniques of this art.

    Congratulation for video!

  • minute 2:27 omg is awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • the instructor is so quick it amazing

  • This is a fantastic masterclass, so useful to get sparring tips like this. However, I have a problem with sound quality and can't hear what you're saying at 2'10 when talking about roundkicks and what I believe you're saying about fighters doing using them naturally and how it's good to go in straight. Is this correct? Great sequences on the real power of martial arts when done by a master. Thanks

  • @RiadLahboul1 Thanks for the comment I am intend to explain do not Throwing routine round house kick without sharpness, accuracy.. sorry about my bad english.^^

  • This is not Taekwondo. Not allowed to kick low in Taekwondo!

  • @KHAIDER73

Thanks for comment. but we don't training TKD as a Sports.

  • @expertkbs your comment was just awesome.

  • @KHAIDER73

Thats correct, I think this is closer to Taekwondo as used by the Rock army(Korean army). The teaching is more towards combative instead of sports.

  • @MoatsRansom the rock army?id say you mean the ROK army(republic of korea). This training is entirely sports orientated, its tkd with some basic boxing and some grappling, all things they never learned in the army.Regular tkd was used in the army.

  • @MoatsRansom

Eu já competi no Estilo WTF, mas prefiro estilo arte marcial, pois competição tem um tempo de treinamento, arte marcial é para vida toda!

I've competed in WTF style, but I prefer style martial art, because competition has a training time, martial arts is for life!

  • @KHAIDER73 Not in sport WTF style anyway.

  • Now that's a good Taekwondo Master =)

  • This Cat's a Monster - 1

  • thank`s

  • wow.. now that is a sage
