This is an anthem song for me. At the end of every semester in college, I made sure to play this song as a finale and tribute to the work just completed. The first time I heard this song was a cover by Glen Campbell many years ago. It was actually pretty good. But then I heard Stevie's version and it made Glen's version sound sort of cheesy. There are just some songs that should not be attempted to cover, like Linda Ronstadt singing "Long, Long Time". This is one of them.

Well it was written either in 1973 or 1975 but not released until 1981 on Bella Donna. Looking at Stevie here it is most likely a year or two prior to it's release. My best guess would be maybe 1979.
