i,m not here to argue with you soundendurance i,m here to present scripture and the truth, however i do have to point out your error that,s my obligation,i have to expose false teaching so that others are not led astray, and now i,ve stated what i had to say ,and now i go elsewhere no need for me to comment further on this video as i,ve stated prior i,m finished.
i,ve stated before in anothe video that i,ve made them i would no longer dispute the belief in the immortal soul, what i,ll do is present scripture, and that,s exactly what it is that itry to do and have done, i don,t want to argue, resort to name calling etc..i just want the truth of the scriptures tobe shown and known
@timsh6 Scripture says many things...And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 1:26-27
Is God eternal? Man, made in the image of God and though having a beginning has no end.
Paul and Peter both warned of these false teachings that would distort the truth of the gospel.
" For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Tim. 4: 3-4)
SOUNDENDURACE i,m now officially through talkig to you i will no longer respond your derpaved theology ,your obvious a follower of blind tradition, you cannot endure sound doctrine ,and i,m not wasting my time with someone who refuse listen and see the truth now goodby and wake up!
@timsh6 follow every word of scripture...Yes and Amen! For Christ (The Word of God), is the head of every man....Though gifts have been given to the body of Christ, you no longer need man to teach you, for you have the Spirit of Truth to teach you all things, if Christ be in you.
Adam and eve eventually did die just as god said they would ,their not alive, there,s no scripture which states that Adam and eve continued to live forever, their dead.we are all of the dust and when we die we return to the dust from which we came bottom line.
@timsh6 man is not dust alone....man does not live on bread alone. True, man is dust, and to dust man (flesh and blood, and bone) will return. Man is also spirit and soul. Those are eternal attributes of man, the image of our Creator...to take some of scripture but not all makes what one declares heresy.
Searching out a matter in scripture is good....knowledge and wisdom come from the mouth of the LORD....many have knowledge but to acquire wisdom one must be diligent....one must keep reading.
@soundendurance no man is a soul he became a living soul (Genesis 2:7) a nephesh which means a living breathing creature when he dies the soul ceases to be he returns to his earth and his thoughts perish psalm (146:4.)eternal life is granted to those who are fortunate to have part in the better ressurection.til then they sleep in the grave awaiting that time, you,re blinded by tradition it,s most obvious to me and your heresy is leading others astray.
This goes out to anyone just visiting this commentary, do you believe the bible and what it says ,or would you rather place your trust in man (tradtiion) and what he says ?
The belief that the soul continues its existence after the dissolution of the body is a matter of philosophical or theological speculation rather than of simple faith, and is accordingly nowhere expressly taught in Holy Scripture.
death is an enemy according to the bible it,s not something to look forward to,and death is the last enemy to be destroyed. There is no such thing as an "immortal soul" it,s not in the bible ,this idea does not come from the bible, but from Greek pagan philosophy.
@timsh6 fine and all but Jesus said you have to take every word. I have already shown how the interpretation you present is broken. Man is flesh and bone and soul and spirit which does not break scripture.
Further, man being made in the image of our Creator, and our Creator being eternal, how can man die as in becoming non existent? He can't. There is no such thing as soul sleep, though man is flesh and blood he is also soul and spirit. Man is eternal, though having a beginning, he has no end.
@soundendurance (Timothy 6:16) says God only hath immortality. we,re mortal we die, jesus told eve you eat the fruit you,ll die, satan said "thou shall not surely die"
King James Version (KJV) 13O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! 14If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands
In the Pentateuch, Sheol ( /ˈʃiː.oʊl/ shee-ohl or /ˈʃiː.əl/ shee-əl; in Hebrew שְׁאוֹל She'ol) is the "grave", "pit", or "abyss".[1][2]
In Judaism She'ol[3] is the earliest conception of the afterlife in the Jewish Scriptures. It is a place of darkness to which all dead go regardless of the moral choices made in life and where they are "removed from the light of God" (see the Book of Job).
@timsh6 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him. - Gen 37:35
Law of First Mention
But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. - 2Sa 12:23
@timsh6 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1Pe 4:5-6
@timsh6 The hand of sheol NOT the grave as in burial of a physical body. Grave in that use is an uninspired translation, it is your word not His. It may be all Greek to some but to me it's all Hebrew. Psa 89:48 Who is the man that liveth, and doth not see death? He delivereth his soul from the hand of Sheol (the world of the dead). Selah.
In various passages, the Bible describes Paradise. Revelation 2:7 says, "To him that overcometh, to him will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God" (American Standard Version). Observe that the tree of life is in the Paradise of God.
will those who have been raised to eternal life and given incorruptible bodies ever die again? no. The bible says its appointed unto man to die once so they do die the first death well all dop saved or not according to the bible.
@timsh6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. - 1Ti 5:6How is this possible? Can one live in death? Have you seen the pleasures of the dead? Have you opened the graves of the dead and witnessed them living in pleasure?
You are dead apart from the Word of God though you live. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. - Mat 8:22
BUT for the believer, who now lives in these physical bodies....Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2Co 5:6-8 Absent from the flesh and bone Christ, the physical Christ who lives and reigns forever more...
and now the finished work of Christ has liberated my soul and.... For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Php 1:21-24
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Eph 4:8-10
The lower parts of earth (sheol) not the grave alone, though he entered the grave but did not see decay.....rather the adode of the dead where souls of men where held captive.
@timsh6 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Luk 23:42-43 Today? Was this thief bodily raised that day. No.Yet he was with Christ that day for the soul of man is eternal. For Christ entered the abode of the dead to lead captivity captive.
@soundendurance the original greek and Hebrew did not include punctuation the comma was later added by the translators when the bible was translated into English.Did jesus go to paradise that day? he told mary do not cling to me for i have not yet ascended to my father.
The bottom line is there is no soul which departs the body at death and then reunites a body at the resurrection, this is a teaching of man which basicly says that man has an immortal soul the scriptures totally debunk this pagan theory.
@timsh6 how can the dead bury their own dead? Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Joh 11:25 - 26
I think Jesus has it right and what he taught is true.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. - Joh 6:54
eternal life (never die) now AND shall be raised up (bodily)
to anyone visiting this commentary may i suggest two excellent websites 1) Truth or traditon 2) The Lords Loud cry with ordained minister Dutch Savage on Dutchs webpage the video section he has a good video title immortality of the soul vs spiritualism a must see ,just type in Dutch Savage to get the link. peace
King James Version (KJV) 10Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
King James Version (KJV) 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
King James Version (KJV) 3And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
King James Version (KJV) 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
King James Version (KJV) 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
@timsh6 scripture is very precises on many matters, this being one of them. hell (hades - the abode of the dead) delivered up their souls, death (sheol) or the grave i.e. dirt, gave up their bodies and the sea, all those buried in the sea, their bodies too were raised.
@timsh6 The rich man and Lazarus: this was before the fullness of time, the time of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection which produced the first fruits.... And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Mat 27:52-53 We see after Christ's finished work the righteous were raised from "sheol" and the abode of the dead where their souls await resurrection.
@soundendurance thE PARABLE WAS MEANT TO DEMONSTRATE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PRIDEFUL AND NON-PRIDEFUL. iT IS ONLY A PARABLE. thE bIBLE TEACHES THAT WHEN WE DIE WE SLEEP IN THE GRAVE UNTIL WE ARE RESSURECTED. READ THE BIBLE!
@timsh6 before the fullness of time the souls of men were kept in the abode of the dead. This is why it was a blessing to have a long fruitful life, why it was better to live in the shadow of death then death itself. When Jesus won our victory over the grave it now becomes better to depart these bodies and be with the Lord. Yet, we remain for the good works He has set before us, for His honor, to His glory.
@timsh6 Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. the sea death and hell delivered gave up the dead...and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.... Rev 20:5,13-15
@soundendurance Jesus uses the word geenna, as He rightly refers to the lake of fire Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
King James Version (KJV) 13O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! 14If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. 15Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
The belief that the soul continues its existence after the dissolution of the body is a matter of philosophical or theological speculation rather than of simple faith, and is accordingly nowhere expressly taught in Holy Scripture.
we do not have immortality now, there is no such thing as an "immortal soul" which continues on after the body type in immortla soul and see what the jewish encyclopedia has to say about it
absent from the body to be present with the lord does not mean heavenbound upon death there are those who are carnall minded and there are those who are spiritually minded.pauls desire was to be absent fr om his present mortal body and looked forward to the resurrection when he would recieve an incorruptible body, recieve immortality
there is no consciousness in the grave where thou go read ecclessiastes 9:5 psalms 146:4 when the spirit (breath) leaves the body you die there is no soul the soul ceases to be, a soul was not placed into man man became a soul you have it all wrong!
The Bible, in its original language of course, speaks of no resurrection from the second death...its forever...without end.
Psa 52:5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
@soundendurance The Bible in its original language, speaks of temporary punishment, but evenually, 'every tongue shall confess' to Christ, and "God will be all in all" (1 Corinthians 15:28).
Matthew 25:46- "Then they will go away to age-abiding aionian correction, but the righteous to aionian life." The greek word "aion" means age. Aionian means age-lasting, temporary. So after this age -lasting period, eventually, "all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of God' Isaiah 52:10.
@aaa333ify FOREVER. 1Co 15:28 But when God puts everything under Christ's authority, the Son will put himself under God's authority, since God had put everything under the Son's authority. Then God will be in control of everything.
Of course...God will be all in all, this is natural. Even the prison system is under the control of the state. Likewise, the Lake of Fire is FOREVER under the Control of Christ. Yes all the earth has seen the salvation of the Lord, but not all are saved.
@aaa333ify The Bible, in its original language of course, speaks of no resurrection from the second death...its forever...without end.
@soundendurance it still speaks of death being abolished through Christ, salvation 4 all people, and the fact that just as everyone has died cuz of Adam, that same 'everyone' willbe made alive in Christ
@aaa333ify Php 2:10 ... And that every tongue should confess...
The subject in Php 2:10-11 is the lordship of Jesus. God has highly exalted Him, that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow, in heaven, in earth, and under the earth. That is, even hell will have to bow to Him because He is the Lord. He is God. But merely bowing does not imply salvation. For redemption is not for things "under the earth" as all scripture in context, in the original language declares....as we see in Col 1:20
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col_1:20 is not talking about lordship, but about Christ's reconciling work, His redemptive work. And what was reconciled? What was redeemed? Was hell included? No. The things under the earth are not mentioned here. Why? Because this verse is talking about redemption, and there is no redemption in hell.
Scripture interprets scripture. The notes above are from Dr. J Vernon Mcgee. A man who devoted his life to the study of scripture in it's original language and in its full context. If one is honest, as they study the context of all scripture, they will see God has redeemed whosoever will come unto Him. There is no redemption for Satan. Those who follow Satan and/or his system will be cast into the lake of fire along with hell, which is the second death, of which there is no resurrection.
@aaa333ify Another question...who is Jesus? BUT the word of God made Flesh. This knowledge of the word is in every man. The knowledge of right and wrong written on the hearts of men when Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and creation testifying to that which is good.
Individuals choose to push out the knowledge of Christ from their minds searing their conscience regarding the perfect law of God rather then looking to the perfect man, their Creator, in faith to deliver them.
@soundendurance Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
@soundendurance Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
The Gospel is a declaration of salvation from the first death by the blood of Christ ALONE. Every man SHALL BE raised bodily from the dead unto JUDGMENT.
@soundendurance Those who partake of the divine nature...receive the Holy Spirit, pass from life to life...that is being born again. For it is NOT the knowledge of the word that saves but the doers of the word who are saved. Who is the doer of the word? Who is he that lived the word perfectly...none BUT Christ...He alone is worthy and He offers His Spirit freely to all who ask. It is His work that brings life to men!
@soundendurance The Greek word aionian, is commonly mistranslated into "eternal" to describe this punishment and life in Matthew 25:46.
Sadly, most Bibles make this translation error, and errors that mistranslate words into 'Hell", that don't even mean "Hell"! Young's Literal Translation doesn't make these mistakes, and is a literal translation of the original Hebrew and Greek. The KJV and most others are filled w/ these mistranslations, creating the false doctine of eternal Hell!
@soundendurance "God is "aiodios" eternal" Romans 1:20. The Greek word for eternal is not "aionian", it "aiodios!" After the aionian period of either "kolasin", greek for correction, (translated into punishment), or of life- "...the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1 Corinthians 52-3 all will be saved!
@aaa333ify God without beginning or end, hence self-existent (Rom_1:20) that is aiodios. Greeks convey the idea of forever, by using the "aionas ton aionon" without end. You had a beginning therefor you are not "aiodios"...but you have no end...therefor it is ages of ages for you. You began in an age but your ages have no end "aionas ton aionon" ages of the ages...forever without end.
Rev 14:10 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 21:8 But the ... unbelieving ... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
There is no resurrection until Judgement... 1Thess 4:14 And you assume too much. The greek word "aionios" applies to a period with start and end. I believe that those not in Christ are either annihilated or redeemed in heaven, leading to Revelations 4:14
@jeremytarbush This is the judgment the Apostle Paul preached
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Where does scripture speak of a resurrection from the second death?
@jeremytarbush What is the judgment to come Paul preached?
Act 24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
@jeremytarbush How many were saved by the preaching of Noah?
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
@jeremytarbush when is the resurrection of the dead unto judgment. Before or after the second coming? Was Jesus wrong when he said you can lose your soul....are souls buried, are they sleeping?
Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: ..but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Mat 10:28 ... but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Remember, the leaves of the tree in the new city are for the healing of ALL nations. What good are the priests without the congregation? The believers are exalted and given a special purpose as priests of the new Holy Nation of Christ and God. The nations will be healed. All the people of the world will come to know the truth and be reformed and reconciled back to God as the Scriptures clearly teach. God is not a pushover, but even his own Word teaches that mercy triumphs over judgement.
To KevZen2000 - The allegory about the broad gate leading to destruction... well the GREEK "apoleia" does not mean "eternal destruction", but is more accurately translated as a marring or a loss or death - but we ALL die, and the non-believers simply will not become the first fruits, the "priestly nation". That does not mean the non-believers will not be sanctified as many other scriptures suggest, but that it will happen at a later "aion", or age in the Lake of God's Holy Purifying Fire.
You WILL believe it at the end, and though there will be an AGE of "punishment" and purification in the Lake of Fire, we will ALL be reconciled back to God after our earthly lives are long over. Your God is way too small. The whole of scripture IS plain to see. God wishes & wills that ALL men be saved, & that is EXACTLY what he will ACCOMPLISH in the end. Reformation and a sanctification of all His creation is God's plan. Timothy 4:9-10 says it succinctly in ANY translation. ALL MEN. Amen.
Satan was created by God to serve a purpose. He did not, has not and will not thwart the purpose for which he was created. You rely on scripture that has nothing to do with Satan to justify this "Fallen Angel" idea. The "Lucifer" reference is not SATAN. Most concordances will show you this error. God can and will save ALL the rebels because that is what he wills for mankind. YOU cannot thwart God's plan for the salvation of mankind by saying, "Well, I don't believe it" while you're alive.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: - Matthew 7:13 KJV
That verse alone puts universal salvation as a false teaching. God is love, but not a pushover.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to DESTRUCTION (Apollumi), and many there be which go in thereat" (Matt. 7:13).
Sounds bad for those who are going down that path doesnt it??
But WAIT!!!
Here comes another verse, let us see what this says, shall we?
"For the Son of man is come to SAVE that which was LOST (Apollumi)" (Matt. 18:11)!
Jesus came to save those that are Apollumi (Destroyed, lost or whatever English word you wish to use)
As Heb 9:27 states man will die once then face judgment
Jesus teaches two resurrections in and in the gospel of John 8:21 Jesus is clearly speaking of the second death.
As the scriptures in Revelations teaches the first resurrection is for whosoever believes upon Christ. While the second resurrection is for those who reject Christ and will face the second death of which there is no resurrection.
As Heb 9:27 states man will die once then face judgment.
Mat 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. ... Mat 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
No, Gehenna is where the fire is not quenched and the worms don't die. It's a burning, city garbage dump. No one quenches the fire. If someone quenched it, it would loose its useful purpose,
Joh 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
For it is appointed unto man once to die then face judgment - Heb 9:27. So in Joh 8:51 Jesus is clearly speaking of the second death. Jesus of Nazareth teaches two deaths and two resurrections.
1st resurrection for Those who believe upon Christ will not taste the second death. Those in the second resurrection from the dead, die the second death which is eternal, no end.
namely to burn up the garbage, offal, and any criminals that are thrown there. The worms don't die, because there is plenty to eat and keep them breeding. When nothing more is thrown into the fire, it will go out. It won't need to be quenched. When the food supply runs out the worms will die. How do I know that? Because the Valley of Hinnom (south of
Yeah thats really good news i tell ya, especially since many people never even heard of Jesus or were raised in a religion that they honored or were loyal to just like born and raised Christians are often loyal to their own faith. You must have a heart of stone. You tell people you love them but if they don't agree with your religion then they are going to suffer eternal torture? Insanity!
"hey all you dirty sinners, love God and believe in his son Jesus or he is going to torture you for the rest of eternity after you die, because you being dead isn't enough for him..."
Have fun with your sadistic torture cult and good luck getting anyone with a conscience and a spine to receive this diabolical message of eternal torture.
Ray Smith can not add to scripture. Neither you nor he can show in scripture a resurrection from the second death.
As there is no resurrection from the second death in scripture. Universalism is a heresy, there is nothing left for it to stand on but the teachings of men.
Go Thy Way. There is nothing left but a fearful expectation of judgment for those who hold this teaching. Go Thy Way.
Rev 22:18 For I testify together to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this Book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add on him the plagues that have been written in this Book.
Rev 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.
How long will the fires of hell and the lake of fire last? When do those who enter the second death exit?
All those who reject Christ in this life die the second death never to be resurrected. It is an everlasting death.
You are adding to God's word, you know the scripture.
Rev 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.
They are thrown in the Lake of Fire (Which is God's Love by the way. God has been depicted as fire throughout the Word of God. Pillar of fire, burning bush, tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost, etc.) For an Aiones of an Aion.
A time of a time. God ONLY knows how long it will last.
He is saying to us: A period of time out of a time.
Scripture tells us. The fire is everlasting, no end Mar 9:44.
There is no resurrection from the second death. What you are doing is adding to God's word. God is saying do not add to his word. In the geek what your doing is called hairesis (αἵρεσις).
Rev 22:19 And if anyone takes away from the Words of the Book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which have been written in this Book.
Why are you NOT getting it. It is like I am saying that such and such of movie has an end and a beginning.
And you are telling me that "Said" Movie IS ETERNAL.
I ask the producer if it has an ending.
And he says it DOES, but you will not believe me. In fact you call me a heratic and you won't even read the letter that the producer sent me to explain to you that it surly DOES have an ending.
God planted the tree in the MIDDLE of the Garden, KNOWING full well, in fact PLANNING what would happen. So that we could LEARN, and become like HIM, knowing good from evil.
There is a purpose to this world, and it is NOT to send countless Trillions to a Pagan Hell!!
It is so God has beings that can communicate with him on "HIS" Level!
What your doing is worshiping an idol. A God you have created in your own mind. You are not worshiping the God of scripture who Jesus is in the flesh.
Your false interpretation of aiōnios will not change scripture and scripture does not teach a resurrection from the second death.
There is nothing left for universalism to stand on. There is no resurrection from the second death. Universalism in a heresy. Go Thy Way.
Whosoever will may come and believe upon Christ and have everlasting life.

FALSE TEACHERS
Paul and Peter both warned of these false teachings that would distort the truth of the gospel.
" For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Tim. 4: 3-4)

Adam and eve eventually did die just as god said they would ,their not alive, there,s no scripture which states that Adam and eve continued to live forever, their dead.we are all of the dust and when we die we return to the dust from which we came bottom line.
timsh6 7 months ago

Sheol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the Pentateuch, Sheol ( /ˈʃiː.oʊl/ shee-ohl or /ˈʃiː.əl/ shee-əl; in Hebrew שְׁאוֹל She'ol) is the "grave", "pit", or "abyss".[1][2]
In Judaism She'ol[3] is the earliest conception of the afterlife in the Jewish Scriptures. It is a place of darkness to which all dead go regardless of the moral choices made in life and where they are "removed from the light of God" (see the Book of Job).

For redemption is not for things "under the earth" as all scripture in context, in the original language declares....as we see in Col 1:20
soundendurance 1 year ago
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col_1:20 is not talking about lordship, but about Christ's reconciling work, His redemptive work. And what was reconciled? What was redeemed? Was hell included? No. The things under the earth are not mentioned here. Why? Because this verse is talking about redemption, and there is no redemption in hell.
soundendurance 1 year ago

The Gospel is a declaration of salvation from the first death by the blood of Christ ALONE. Every man SHALL BE raised bodily from the dead unto JUDGMENT.

@soundendurance Those who partake of the divine nature...receive the Holy Spirit, pass from life to life...that is being born again. For it is NOT the knowledge of the word that saves but the doers of the word who are saved. Who is the doer of the word? Who is he that lived the word perfectly...none BUT Christ...He alone is worthy and He offers His Spirit freely to all who ask. It is His work that brings life to men!
His work of Creation
His work of Redemption
His work as LORD of your will

@soundendurance The Greek word aionian, is commonly mistranslated into "eternal" to describe this punishment and life in Matthew 25:46.
Sadly, most Bibles make this translation error, and errors that mistranslate words into 'Hell", that don't even mean "Hell"! Young's Literal Translation doesn't make these mistakes, and is a literal translation of the original Hebrew and Greek. The KJV and most others are filled w/ these mistranslations, creating the false doctine of eternal Hell!
aaa333ify 1 year ago
@soundendurance "God is "aiodios" eternal" Romans 1:20. The Greek word for eternal is not "aionian", it "aiodios!" After the aionian period of either "kolasin", greek for correction, (translated into punishment), or of life- "...the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1 Corinthians 52-3 all will be saved!
aaa333ify 1 year ago
@aaa333ify God without beginning or end, hence self-existent (Rom_1:20) that is aiodios. Greeks convey the idea of forever, by using the "aionas ton aionon" without end. You had a beginning therefor you are not "aiodios"...but you have no end...therefor it is ages of ages for you. You began in an age but your ages have no end "aionas ton aionon" ages of the ages...forever without end.

There is no resurrection until Judgement... 1Thess 4:14 And you assume too much. The greek word "aionios" applies to a period with start and end. I believe that those not in Christ are either annihilated or redeemed in heaven, leading to Revelations 4:14

RationalPrejudice 2 years ago

There are past, present, future, Contrasting Aions.
How can you possibly then try to twist THE VERY WORD of God to try to have that word mean EVERLASTING????
If the Aions were "Everlasting", then you could NOT have an END TO AN AION!!
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
How long will the fires of hell and the lake of fire last? When do those who enter the second death exit?
All those who reject Christ in this life die the second death never to be resurrected. It is an everlasting death.
You are adding to God's word, you know the scripture.

EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Scripture tells us. The fire is everlasting, no end Mar 9:44.
There is no resurrection from the second death. What you are doing is adding to God's word. God is saying do not add to his word. In the geek what your doing is called hairesis (αἵρεσις).

That is the ENGLISH!!!
Look at the GREEK!!!
See the Greek words context in all other passages!
If you look, you will see that AION, CANNOT mean EVERLASTING!!!
Aions have beginnings, ends, afters, News, Olds, etc. If an AION was ETERNAL, there would never be an END TO IT!
So how could it be that GOD HIMSELF, stated that there ARE ENDS, and BEGINNINGS to the AIONS????
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago

Now, doesn't that make more sense?
