Larry, some may consider you lucky to own such a fabulous instrument, but the whole reason behind this video is a stark reminder that there are other things in life. May you find peace and happiness.
I have been trying to find this song for over 20 years. I have always loved it (as well as the Pathetique). You have done it justice. Thank you so much for posting it.
What a great organ! The Yamaha FX-1 Electone was the most coolest organs ever! Combination of digital and FM technology of the famous Yamaha DX-7. I just love the style of this wonderful musical instrument! I hope to own one day?
Thanks for posting your lyrics. I knew they would be as beautiful as they are as I could feel the emotion in your playing. I am on a rocky road healthwise myself which is why I identified with your sentiment. Music is such an important part of me also. Will have to wait until the end of September to send you an email message as my current server blocks such activities. Will tell you why the Moonlight is so important to me!
You moved me to tears Larry, both with your music and your sentiment. Beethoven is a particular favourite of mine also. Have you had a go at doing somthing with Sontata no. 14 op 27 (Moonlight Sonata)? If so, I would love to hear it.
Thank you. I'm pleased that you enjoyed this one. No, I have not really tried to make an arrangement of the Moonlight. That does sound like a good idea though, so I may well try that.
How crazy! I had to wait 30 years to listen for the first time some of those greatest electones you own. When I see them I still keep the emotion I had when I was 11 years old. Thank you.
Cool Organ! You played well! I only managed to play on this swell organ for only approximately 7 hours just to enter the Junior Electone Competition many years back..... 22 years ago. Although it an old model, it was my Biggest "DREAM Organ" during those years. This organ was only used for competition purposes. It was rare for students to touch this Great Instrument during that time. I still consider its a beautiful piece of Art and Instrument.
Thanks for the nice words. This is truly a song / piece that I feel a lot when playing it. No , My FX has no MIDI functions. The extra keyboards are for variety of sounds. Some get used often; others no so often. Sorry the vid is so squashed, but I am still learning my new camcorder.
Yes, I agree with you regarding the MIDI background music. Except the drum sequencer I myself very seldom use those background MIDI music (newly called XG).
Looking forward to seeing more videos from you and your great 'enviable' collection with FX-1 & EX-42 :-)
You lack only the HX-1 and ELX-1(m) ! Keep me informed when you extend your collection !
