I'm 13, and therefore I didn't know who Don Adams was when he was alive... But I know of him now, and he is an inspiration to me. I'd much rather watch Get Smart or Inspector Gadget than any of the other crap that's on TV these days. RIP, Don. You live on in the hearts and minds of everyone........ Would you believe only the awesome ones?
There Will Never Ever Be Another White Brother Like Him! Seemingly So Dumb That He Made Himself LOOK SMART! The Actor Of My Desire! If There Had Been A Negro Takeoff Of Get Smart I Would Have Been Honored To Play THE NEGRO AGENT 86! What Fun I Could Have Had And It Definitely Would Have Been Done OUT OF MY RESPECT FOR THE GREATEST NON SECRET AGENT OF ALL TIMES!

I believe he was one of the Marines on Guadalcanal where he was seriously wounded then shipped to a New Zealand Hospital for 12 weeks before he was well enough to be repatriated to a Hospital in the US.
He's great actor & a great comedian. I've saw his film Get Smart & Agent 99,it was a very funny film. He's really going to be miss..."God" bless u Adam, wherever u are.
@sarahjeanluvsmusik yes they had the script ready so many times then this director would back out and this sad too late damn people Don would have been awesome in a cameo or a bigger part of the movie they blew it
If he only can live 3 years more... he posibble be in the premiere of Get Smart (2008 adaptation). Plus, he could make a cameo! But he...you now...R.I.P.
@GamesWorldTV I wrote the director and said cant you image in any thing? you know his likeness and paste it into a cameo, or maybe on TV in a scene and we all see it i got a letter back he told me Don Adams estate said no because 99 who is alive didnt get a part they felt Don wouldnt be ok with that because 99 stood by him and think and then kinda cool kinda sad story maybe Get Smart 2 which they are filming has said to look for 99 in cameo and Smart also. Stay tuned
@tripjet999 He was 82 when he died. Avg lifespan for American males is just 76 so he died of old age. How long do you think most human live? Only a tiny percentage make it to 100 and most of them would rather be dead
Mr Adams was such a talented & funny fellow. PERFECTLY cast as Maxwell Smart. And a wonderfully gifted voice over artist too (Tennessee Tuxedo, Inspector Gadget, etc). I miss him. May this classy gentleman ALWAYS rest in peace. THANKS for sharing this delightful footage with us! :)
@cbsteffen Don Adams was actually doing his stand up act on "Get Smart." He was a big fan of actor William Powell, and used to imitate Powell's clipped speech patterns.
Max, you were the greatest. In turbulent times in the 60's, the free world could sleep easy at night knowing that you and the rest of CONTROL were watching our shorelines and streets. Often imitated but never duplicated. Thanks for the upload. Don at his best.
Don Adams was a comedic genius. He was hilarious in "Get Smart". His legendary voice was great as Inspector Gadget and Tennessee Tuxedo. He played himself in an episode of "The New Scooby Doo" movies. R.I.P. Don Adams. We love you.
Don Adams you are the best God bless ya and thanks for the fun I really think Don Adams had it right he was Smart, and gifted with a fantastic sense of humor and class!!! hey Smart Laraby called though and said The Chief wants the cone of silence back !!!! What? the cone of silence Max.....oh a ice cream cone.....got it......ok
My Dad and I laughed so hard! Definately one of my favorite 60's shows. He Made living during the age nuclear proliferation much more bearable! - and made intelligence and spying out for what they really were. Great balance between pleasing his boss and doing his job. Ohhh Max !
WOULD YOU BELEIVE? is one of the funniest lines in show bussiness .. you knew where he was heading when you heard that.. I'm Glad i have the complete Get Smart Series and every move about Get Smart.. He was the best actor of our time!!! RIP DON!!!!

If you pause at :27 you can see the fear and sadness in his eyes, he will be missed!
