  • In my opinion this a rather "arty" re-interpretation of the Border tradition. But methinks softens a winter cadgers dance. A form of busking more akin to demanding moneywith menaces than busking as we know it. Border Morris should have a threatening "edge" and performers dressed grotesquely and blacked their faces for purposes of disquise and intimidation. Take a look at the "Witchmen"...........

  • I have to agree with Denqua. While it is interesting to watch, it lacks the rawness and passion of actual border morris (I'm a former morris dancer from Ontario in Canada). Don't get me wrong, great to see this video. :) It just lacks the heart of actual morris dancing.

  • @FrostyThePagan Thanks for your thoughtful comment! I'd love to see a video of actual morris dancing. Can you refer me to one that fits your description of heart?

  • I'm english and i just love to see our dances preformed

  • Mmmmmm, very theatrical, but definitely NOT border morris!!!!

  • It is very wonderful.

  • This is exactly the sort of thing we need for the Olympics.

  • were do you live

  • The lack of bells make it kind of eirie - good effort though

  • okay, interesting. not quite how we do border but a good effort.

  • Do they also perform "The Landlord's Daughter" while Sergeant Howie eats some turquoise broad beans?

  • Wow, interesting interpretation of a Border Morris!
