If anything the game reminds me of Resident Evil Extinction. There was no horror in it but alot of action and that was it. I wasn't as scared as I was when playing 4 cause you know you have another character watching your back even though it sucks. It might have alot of action into it but really if it has no horror to add into it then it might as well not be called a Resident Evil game. It just doesn't seem like one anymore it has the same story and aspects but none of the core factors.

I agree as wellre4 was alittle big longer than 5 was. I like 5 overall but it was too short that AND the fact that the chapters/environments due tend to get a lil stale at times made me feel like i was bored but overall it was a greta game and anothe ri got all teh ahcievements for. the action kicks ass

Resident Evil 5 is fun. Yes, they took out a lot of the Survival Horror aspects but trust me you still get the chills now and then. But everyone is saying "Play Re4 for real Survival Horror." But the truth is, through it is spooky it isn't as spooky as the originals. ...though, the originals lack action. I love all the Resident Evil games new and old, but if you want REAL Horror play Re1-3 if you want Action (which is just as good) play Re4-5. Re5 is great in it's own ways. Just like the others.
I disagree. They had a lot more focus on creepy music, and dark environments ( lots of rain), plus you were alone. Here your witha partner with in africa, which is bright. RE4 gave me an overall sense of dread when I first played it, while RE5 was a lot less freaky. The two are barely even comparable in terms of scariness in my books

The default controls give you the feel of it going to be able to at least give you the ability to walk and shoot. Because the default controls, the shooting and moving uses different jowsticks, but in the other control options it is nearly identical to 4.

Oh yeah? The Halo sniper scope doesn't move at ALL and it's impossible to camp, meaning the sniper rifle is as much of a support weapon as it is a power weapon to claim early on and move around with. Take that realism!!! Honestly the Halo sniper works much better with Halo's gameplay than other snipers work with their own.
how is it fast paced? you cant move when aiming or reloading and both you and zombies move slow. plus trying to simply heal your partner or give them ammo requires more time standing still

resident evil 5 has great gameplay. fear 2 has more shock value and scare to it. i would rather re5 though, you can play it again and it had great bonus features.

how is it fast paced? you cant move when aiming or reloading and both you and zombies move slow. plus trying to simply heal your partner or give them ammo requires more time standing still

I think they say it's fast paced because they think you're dealing with something that's actually plausible.
You're supposed to be dealing with an angry mob of semi-normal people and I think that's way more tense than a swarm of Locust (i.e. Gears)

resident evil 5 has great gameplay. fear 2 has more shock value and scare to it. i would rather re5 though, you can play it again and it had great bonus features.

im going to be honest and say i get scared easily sometimes and the fear 2 demo scared me shitless, but capcom stated starting from RE4 they are trying to turn it into more of an action game then a horror but trying to keep the horror concepts somewhere in the game

fear 2 is scary as shit, especially in the dark by yourself. RE5 is just like RE4 with a partner and its not that scary except when the zombies just pop up out of nowhere
